DROPBOX AVAILABLE FOR GAME LOGS!!!
Hi guys! I've created a dropbox folder for the Vassal logs of our games. If you provide me with your email address (private message will be best), I can add you to the folder and you can upload/download game logs for the tournament.
Cheers! ![]()
Truthiness vs Maturin resulted in a win for Truthiness 210-94. The objective was Fleet Ambush. Overall it was a very maneuver centric game, with lots of cat and mouse dodging out of each other's firing arcs. Hats off to Maturin for playing the squadron game very well. He extracted a lot more blood out of my squadrons than I should have allowed.

Truthiness maneuvered his ships with grace and style, zipping in between asteroids and changing speeds at just the right moment. It was a sight to behold! My anti-squadron dice were hot, which is the only reason I was able to score as many points as I did. I didn't manage to significantly damage any of Truthiness' ships. Lesson learned: don't engage in a tail chase when you only have short ranged weapons. ![]()
Well done sir!
Who was 2nd Player?
I was. Objective was Fleet Ambush, and Truthiness chose to go first. Which was a very, very good choice given the situations we found ourselves in. It allowed his ships (that I worked so hard to get into range), to scoot out of harm's way before I could shoot.

A great game that hung in the balance and just barely swung my way. Both sides moved in to confront, I spread out my CR90s to give me options in activations, while my MC30 faced of against Demolisher. Demolisher got the first shots off and did large shield damage to Foresight, but Foresight retaliated and did massive shield hits and an APT crit; a CR90 moved in and pumped out more damage and finished it Demolisher off at the top of the next round. I was able to weather one ISD front shot to Foresight, but the accuracy blocked my evades and with XI7s the 3 double hit 2 more regular damage would have spelled my doom if not for Lando. After that Foresight double tapped into the ISD and a CR90 finished it off from behind. After this there were several turns of movement before I was able to catch my opponent's raider on turn 6.
The squadron game resulted in all my squadrons' demise, but they took down Boba and held up the rest long enough for AA to kill off several more TIEs. The rest of the TIEs withdrew to a safe distance incase I didn't catch the raider. Overall a really good game, that came down to the wire on turn 3. Good game to my opponent, who took it all very well. We'll have to rematch sometime.
I am slowly collecting the lists into a searchable location - so far I've copied Page 1 of the thread.
Now it should be complete. Let me know if you or your opponent is missing from the list.
I have all list grouped by faction, and then by number of ships taken.

Thats quite cool. Shame there isnt a vlog, I really like your list JJ. How did you utilize Salvation? I'm surprised you didnt go for TRRC for it.
Also, quite excited that Lando came in handy.
Deadshane vs Captain ICT is beginning now...

JJs list is a monster. Lando totally wrecked my chance for any points as he saved an expensive ship (I think one point of damage would have killed it.) Salvation was not as involved as two Cr90s and mc30 were.
JJ's list can be summed up with BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

I think someone out there recorded a vlog of at least part of the game, I saw someone in a game that was named "watching vlog of jjs game". So if that person wanted to post that...haha
Salvation was really almost an afterthought in this list (7 points wasn't enough for another squadron), The neb needs to stay back most of the time, I guess I could have done with TRC over Salvation but I wanted the survivability of the evade (though Salvation rolled 7-8 blanks that game, haha). Maybe in the future I'd tweak it a little. Yes I put in Lando (over ECM), since every time Foresight has taken a huge hit (5-6 times), there have been two accuracy nullifying my evades. I was trying not to just keep sinking points into the MC30 (It's already worth a bunch!), so Lando is my insurance against those big rolls. (If you plan on taking more than one big shot you are really gambling). After some test rolls using Lando I really realized how awesome he is!
I think Lando is super effective vs. red dice in particular. Sure, he's costy for a one use ability, but on a 4 HP ship that's the difference between life and death, especially when the Officer slots are empty on the MC30s most of the time.
Veteran Captain might be something to look at too for this ship in particular.
Deadshane vs Captain ICT: Round 1.
Clocking in with 400 vs 394, Deadshane elected to go 2nd. With Opening Salvo. The Uber ISD with that Grand Moff Token, with 2 Glads for support, including the one that no Imperial scum seems to leave home without, and the nastiest bunch of annoying fighters (Bossk, IG-88, and Vader). Vs Dodonna's plain looking flagship, Yavaris, and Salvation, Jan and the 3 trios (3 X, A, B)
I deployed like crap. So badly, I had to speed up to avoid collisions on turn 2! Which made my timing wrong. Salvation went down, then the ISD. With the MC80 chanting: Double Arc > Ackbar! Ye poor fools. Then a formerly undamaged Yavaris turned to dust due to a really nasty double arc from the non shooty-move-shooty glad. Which was subsequently killed by the MC80, repeating the mantra: Double Arc > Ackbar. Called turn 5 as everyone was out of range, as IG-88 took down the last X-Wing, and a B-Wing took him out. The other 2 B-Wings having gotten rid of scatter the hard way. That was another theme of the game. My AS sucked. I lost all my As and Xs (Though a number of them were doing Anti-Ship duties.) Scary game for both sides at times, and a good game on deadshane's part.
Final score 310 to 224, for an 84 point victory. (Looks like a 7-3 MOV), no cards on sh0ips at the end of the game. It was like Star Trek, if your shields were breached by enemy fire, you were dead. (I think I saved a log of it as well.)
Captains report Vrrified.
I'm not totally unhappy with my performance this game. This is my first outing with imperials. Ill have to just learn to fly better.
Great game, no rules issues. Looking forward to round 2!
Biggs vs Zanos has ended, with Zanos winning!
Zanos was player 2, and Fleet Ambush was chosen as the objective.
Final score was 91 to 400.
Not gonna lie, this one hurt. Turn 2 is what did it, with the ISD suddenly jumping from speed 1 to speed 3 and popping up right where I didn't want it to be. Things went down hill from there, but I had a last chance to make it close with a one/two shot on his Demolisher and ISD. I blow up the Demolisher, but 1 Red and 2 Blacks from my front arc, and a ram, only got 2 damage on the ISD, and it had been at 3 hull.
From there, it was mop up. I might have been able to save more of my ships, but I'm not sure how I could have made that work. I really wanted that ISD.
I should just say that this was an amazingly well played game by Zanos - I had some chances to change things, but he capitalized on every mistake and error that I handed him. Great player, and I'm looking forward to watching his next couple games.

EDIT: My list was actually incorrect, missing some upgrades that were lost during the copy-paste (idk how that happenned)
First Problem: Your previous list added up correctly, but your new list puts you at 406 with the new upgrades you edited in.
Second problem:
You can edit your list until the first round of pairings is up.
I saw in your game that you dropped Redemption, but that is still on the list up on the forums.

This is the list that was in for the cutoff, so this is the list you've got to use for the remaining games. Sorry.
Audere vs Bronzojoe ended 290-8 for the former, called after round 3 as I would never catch his remaining ships running away.
I was first player and chose Ambush. My ISDs took a lot of red dice in the first round, but the gods of luck failed Bronzojoe after that round, as blanks really hurt him.
Good game and closer than it showed. If the dice rolled a different way, it would have been the opposite outcome.

Well, the place is HOPPING right now due to the tournament, so a good time to hop in, watch, and learn. There's a game going on right now that should be fun to watch (hopefully).
Aside from that, just keep poking around. There used to be a thread for setting up games and whatnot - not sure where that got buried to.
