Rebel Army List

I have toyed with the idea of a more Rebel army like list, than the rag-tag heroes (or the Blast spam). I think there is some strong syngery in this list between Fenn and the troopers, Gideon/C-3PO and mainly the Saboteurs and Fenn and Biv dishing out solid 3-die attacks. The list seem to have it all. Focus, positionable models (troopers) and damage output (saboteurs, Fenn and Biv). There are also multiple avenues of Stun.


The only thing I feel it really lacks is staying power. Neither Fenn nor Biv have a lot of health or defense compared to cost and with only 1 Saboteur group, counting on the white die to save them, would be a dangerous propersition.


The command deck could probably be worked more strongly, I mainly included the most obvious choices I could find.

only 6 activations and 44 hp and only 1 5 MP unit will get you nowhere...blast spam has 63...4x4 76 hp (to compare with the top fish) even a good trandoshan list has more hp than you (65)

and i can't see multiple avenues of stun? you mean burst fire in addition to sabs?...if your single elite troopers are taken down you have 2 useless cards with reinforcements and rank and file..you have so many cards that rely on a single deployment card... (sabs, troopers)...

I think this list looks good, it is simliar to what I usually brings, I use Luke instead of Biv however but I can see his use. With that list I have beaten Vader and several other lists. Not tested it against full 4x4 or rebel blast but similar lists.

I think you could do some tweaks in your command cards, I dont think you should loose reinforcment, even with just 1 tropper card it is worth it but I usually only play with 1 card, if you get then you can just sacrifice a trooper for a good shoot. Nore should you loose grenadier, also a card I always include when fielding troopers. Rank and file might not be worth it, I would loose it, explosive weaponry for a free blast 1 is better, Focus is always a good card.

Fenn is a beast and I dont get why he is not used more, dont be put of by the fact that you might not get to use his assault ability, the threat of it is what you want, nobody wants to advance into Fenns LOS.

Consider R2D2 instead of C3P0 and balance, I have started making the switch and I feel like R2 makes more good to me than 3P0. You loose the free evade but 3P0 is so slow he cant keep up anyway which makes his focus wothless also, Still there are those that play him better than me.

There are some new carsd that lets you reroll and add 1 white dice which could make your models more surviavable.

I think I would also recommend trading Biv and Balance for Luke, then trade some Command cards for Son of Sky.

Fenn and the Gang are pretty good if they can afford to move slowly up in a line. Trooper fire and Move. Repeat. Watch for times to use Assault. For extra added bonus, keep Luke near. Then you're using Aim or Assault with the reroll.

The problem I've had with the troopers is that they don't like to be rushed. If you're on a map that require them to run for an objective, then you lose a lot of what makes this list trouble. But if you're playing a simple slugfest, this list can beat up a few more powerful lists.

It will have a difficult time against the 4x4 though. With Protector working for them, even with the reroll it can be difficult for the Troopers to put more than one or two damage on the Guards per shot, and with eight Health 8 figures bearing down on them, your Troopers are going to die fast without returning many favors.
