Juno Eclipse and Stay on Target

By CerseisAdvocate, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Juno Eclipse:

When you reveal your manoeuvre, you may increase or decrease its speed by 1 (to a minimum of 1).
Stay on Target:

When you reveal a manoeuvre, you may rotate your dial to another manoeuvre with the same speed. Treat that

manoeuvre as a red manoeuvre.

Questions:

1. With this combination, would it be Possible to modify the speed and then chose a new manoeuvre based on the modified speed (e.g. going from a 2straight to a 3bank)?
2. Would it be even possible if you have to go over an "impossible" manoeuvre (e.g. 3bank on the dial, add one speed with Eclipse ability and then make it a 4k-turn with sot)?

3. Could you choose which of the two ability you use first and which second?

Stay on target requires you to rotate the dial to a maneuver, so in most cases it should go first.

because you can't rotate to non-existent one

3. You can choose which ability to use first and may use both abilities.

1. You're going to have to turn the dial to the desired bearing at your selected speed first and THEN alter the speed. Juno's ability only affects the speed used with the selected maneuver and does not actually use that maneuver. If you start with a 2 straight then you will be able to select any of the Advance's speed 2 directions and then use Juno to move them to speed 1 or 3. Start with a 4 straight you may use SoT to change that to the k-turn and then use Juno's ability but you will NOT be able to perform any turns or banks.

2. If a maneuver does not exist you could not use it even as an intermediary step in the process.

Juno lets you perform maneuvers that already exist in the game, but not necessarily on her dial.

So she's got a 3-4-5 koiogran, but not a 4 turn, as that doesn't have a template.

That so ****** me up when I first fielded her. Took about three rounds to get her in my head, but when she clicked... WHoooooooooooo, JUNO!

So, to be clear, Juno is the only TIE Advanced capable of straight 1 and hard 1 maneuvers? that's pretty cool.

Also, does dialing a green bank 1 allow you to execute a green bank 2 by increasing its speed? the card doesn't say anything about color

Exactly correct.

Similarly, if you select a white maneuver, and slow it down into what would otherwise be green on your dial, its still white.

Juno doesn't change the maneuver's color. If it starts green it stays green even if it is on the dial and would be a different color. Similarly, if the maneuver is while it stays white even if the speed change would normally have it be a different color.

Likewise, hell, I seldom fly Vader anymore because of that.

Also,

PTL (+ MKII), VI and SoT are all solid choices on her.

This reminds me of a bossk build I've been working on. Sot fins navigator outlaw tech. Between fins and navigator you just put your dial to hard 3 and can change, penalty free, to any maneuver that's on the same side. Hard 3 to 1 bank no problem. Needed to just go straight or opposite direction? Sot and navigator to get a stress and a focus token. Add in antipursuit lasers and intelligence agent for some serious blocking or just k4 for target locks.

1, yes.

2, yes you can do moves not on the dial, but not impossible moves. So a 5k is ok, but a 4 bank isn't.

3, absolutely!
