Cards override rules pretty sure it's in the rule book
Does that mean that Lando can give a huge ship a free action?

Most likely the next faq will say huge ships cannot perform free actions given from another ship or something like that to allow this card
The rules say can't perform free actions. Card says perform free recover or reinforce action specifically. There is a difference there.
The card is equipped to the ship that's why it would override the ruleDoes that mean that Lando can give a huge ship a free action?Cards override rules pretty sure it's in the rule book
The picture becomes very muddy like this. For example, the rule is that stressed ships do not get to do any free actions. I have always played this as indicating that Squad Leader and Lando cannot give actions to stressed ships, even though the cards suggest otherwise. And a stressed Jake Farrell cannot barrel roll, even if Kyle Katarn gives him a focus token. So I think that this is a rule that no card can break, unless the card specifically mentions this, like Tycho Celchu.
So I'd guess that Automated Protocols needs an erratum: "This free action can be performed by huge ships."

I expect that the huge ship rules will probably be updated to something along the lines of "Huge ships may not perform free actions unless the action being granted is listed on the action bar of the section receiving the free action".

Is there any reason to use the GR-75, other then "I don't have the Gozanti yet?"
The Gozanti has added a ton of new functions for the Transport. Now, the Rebels have a better version of Jonus. Load up your Y-wings, B-wings, and K-wings with Ordnance, and let fly supported by an Ordnance Expert.
The Transport can't take Ordnance Expert.
You're right, it's a team. Still, some fun new options have been opened up.
Plus Ordnance Expert is terrible: "Once per turn," with a coup de gras of Limited.
Ha! Fair enough.
An important note for all the trolls out there that live for acting all put out when someone misses a detail like that in rules questions: the game developers sometimes miss them too.
On the other hand, is this not a case of when the rules on a card contradict the rules in the book, the card takes precedence? Or am I just thinking in MtG terms?
I think they will figure out the least-change method of making the card do what they obviously want it to do, and then FAQ it to do that.

I would think that because cards override the rules, the Huge ship may perform the free reinforce action written on the card. The no free action rule is only overrided in this one specific case because the upgrade card says you may do it. Beyond that situation, the Huge ship couldn't take a free action of any type.

Just for your info, it's 'Coup de grace' not 'Coup de gras'. 'Gras' means fat.

People said that about the CR-90 when the Raider came out. Both are still being used in their own way.
As for the GR-75 i guess it depends on how you build it. As a q-ship (Jam + Slicer tools) you will want the extra actions so you can jam every turn. As a support ship with shield projectors you might want the extra shields and hull.
now that we are getting Automated Protocols and an FAQ will come soon I think I'm next going to try
GR-75 Medium Transport (30)
Toryn Farr (6)
Shield Projector (4)
Comms Booster (4)
Tibanna Gas Supplies (4)
Automated Protocols (5)
Bright Hope (5)
Biggs Darklighter (25)
R2-F2 (3)
Corran Horn (35)
Draw Their Fire (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
R2-D2 (4)
Shield Upgrade (4)
Total: 132
Remember Biggs doesn't work on huge ships!

yes but the idea is to make them shoot at Biggs or a reinforced Bright hope while Corran takes and regens the crits. Bright hope also takes a lot to kill when flown right.

I think it is part of the FAQ, which is valid for all game modes.
