Sure docking is cool

Hmm, I didn't know that the words on a card don't have to be in the correct order in order for them to count.

I thought the reason TIE/fo Fighter was worded with the /fo in between TIE and Fighter SPECIFICALLY to prevent TIE Fighter upgrades to be put on it. You know, boolean operators rules. TIE + Fighter is not the same thing as "TIE Fighter" and all that.

But yeah, that rule is pretty clear that's not the case. Good to know.

I beg your pardon Blue Five but imagine a situation where move up with the Gozanti and when near the enemy you decide to drop Vader, Strom (With PTL), Steele (With PTL) and Alozen all with Advanced targetting Computer and Prockets.

So, you will argue against the rules purely on the basis of the word "Advanced" being formatted as "Adv."

Can this entire titles discussion please wait until there is a faq? Or at least till the actual ship is in hand? I tired of it 2 months ago and it's just as tiresome (and unanswerable) now as it was then.

Do what you want at home, wait till the ship and far is released for tournies...theory craft all you want until then but accept that it is just that...and only that.

It can't carry tie defenders worst epic ship ever!

Except that 4 TIE defenders that are all deltas are 120 points, plus the Gonzanti of 40 point, so 160/300 for 1 gozanti and 4 TIE defenders, before upgrades, before vessery, before Rexlar...

Eh, I'm gonna try sticking Defenders under it to see what happens... at least I know the M3-As will fit...

Would look wierd with them upside-down, moreso than the (mostly) vertically symmetrical Ln/x1/In/Sa

I dunno, I don't think it'd look too weird. But I suspect they left out the ships they did for gameplay reasons, or possibly (as someone else theorized) because there's a title for the ship that lets it carry other kinds of TIEs.

But you see...

this is a classic Games Workshop move, where a nebulous rule is exploited to sell more models before the FAQhammer comes slamming down. I'm not going to say that FFG has gone Full GW yet, but they have the stars lined up at the moment. If they don't FAQ this the TAP is going to be very hard to find in your local store. Ism't it funny how poorly balanced items in the game seem to create their own scarcity issues?

So, you will argue against the rules purely on the basis of the word "Advanced" being formatted as "Adv."

Until FFG state that such formatting is considered to be important to the rules, I will consider that attitude to be WAACy.

This argument has been done to death, and I genuinely don't understand the confusion.

The two ships in question are clearly different ships, if we are ignoring the English language I'm sure we can get even more creative and put a better title on...how about Royal guard on the prototype? That might be fun!

The WAAC player is the one trying to slap titles on ships not intended for them, and then arguing until blue in the face that everyone else is wrong.

Edit to add...

Can an iPhone 5 use the same charging cable that an iPhone 4 can?

Clearly they should be able to, they are exactly the same aren't they?

I hate the TAP/TA discussion, lets just stop it and wait for an on release FAQ (and just to be on the safe side assume that you can't use the title, that way you won't be dissapointed when you are wrong).

However, on the topic of the "entirety of the name" thing, the German distributor had to translate the new X-Wing, making it an "T-70-X-Flügler" the original X-Wing luckily did not get that mistreatment. That makes Integrated Astromech an interesting card when it will be released, I assume either an FAQ, which would suck since those guys are sickeningly slow with those, or even more text for our card! Talk about bad communication...

Was about to get my snark on about 'why would you carry 4 defenders into battle!'. Then I considered that they are uniquely suited to gozanti deployment, ie, the Gozanti releasing 2 defenders who white K-turn behind the attacking enemy and target-lock action. Horrible!

Thematicaly speaking Defenders wouldn't need to be carried with their hyperdrives, but the same thing can be said about TIE Advanceds...

I think Vader is just lazy and wants to nap while the Gozanti flies him to the battle.

Eh! The epic Gozanti heist -S&V got away with a Gozanti and carries (s)crappy Scyks into battle ??

The Scyk fix is that they will be the only S&V ship that can deploy from a Scumy Gonzati! That's why they cost so much and have such low durability! They aren't expected to take fire for 2 rounds!
