No, it replaces hardpoints by the looks, not cargo. GR-75s have no hardpoints.
Silence broken! New post at last.
Oooh, I like this.
I don't
Why is Oicuun cosplaying as Cherineau?
A captain rams a ship and does 1 damage. An admiral rams a ship, and does ALL THE DAMAGE.
So went back and looked close at the Gozanti card fan, and looks like Gozanti has only 1 new standard play upgrade to spoil.
Here are the cards in the fan from left to right
TOP ROW
Epic Play Only
1 Expert Handling
2 Expose
3 Marksmanship (both action based EPTs interestingly enough)
4 Dual Laser Turret
5 Broadcast Array
6-7 ???
8-9 ???
10-11 Ordnance experts
12 Docking Clamps
13 Agent Kallus
14 Rear Admiral Chiraneau
BOTTOM ROW
15-17 Optimized Generators
18-20 Automated Protocols
21-23 Ordnance Tubes
24 ???
25 ??? (24 or 25 is playable in standard)
26 ??? (Clearly Epic specific)
I'm assuming the two sets of unspoiled cards which have multiples are also Epic only (6 through 9), as if they were usable in standard play, that would not add up with the numbers given in the article. That means those 4 cards and 1 more unspoiled card match the twenty-one Huge ship specific cards. Knowing that cards 1, 2 and 3 are cards we already have which are usable in standard, plus Agent Kallus, that leaves 1 more unspoiled card which can be used in standard play, which is one of the last 3 cards in the fan. Possibly the 2nd from last, as the other 2 seem to feature the Gozanti, and the very last is clearly Epic specific.
Darn. Was hoping for more standard usable cards :/
Edited by KdubbEh. I am happy for a new era of epic, thanks.
Wow! I don't even play epic, but this expansion has me wanting to try it out!
Anyone pointed out that Advanced Protocols doesn't actually work? Huge ships can't take free actions. And no, the "card beats rule" won't apply, just as you can't Squad Leader a stressed ship.
Unless I've missed some errata...
Oops.
It works...new Core Set Rules, page 1, under Golden Rules..... Card abilities can override the rules listed in this guide.
So you go by the text written on the card, it over rides the ability for the Huge Ship not to get free actions but only as far as the card is concerned. You can't have other ships or pilot abilities giving it free actions.
Regardless...they will FAQ it, because we know what their intent is with this.

I'm assuming the other two set of cards which have multiples are also Epic only (6 through 9), and that leaves 1 more card other than those as Epic only. Knowing that cards 2 and 3 are cards we already have, that leaves, at most, 2 more unspoiled cards which can be used in standard play.
Darn. Was hoping for more.
The 3 on the bottom row are Titles for the Gozanti. 6-7 and 8-9 on your list are very exciting...to paraphrase the article, there is one unspoiled upgrade card (that you get two of) that can be used in Standard play on small or large based ships.
I'm assuming one of those is a new Torpedo or Missile!
Question. Can you mix and match ordnance and hard points while using the tubes? It says
"You may treat each of your hard point upgrade icons as a torp or missile upgrade icon."
Does the may apply to each slot separately, or altogether? Can you put proton torps, assault missiles and turbo masers all on the same (3 hard point) ship?

K I should probably read the article more closely before I do this type of speculation lol.
The way I'm reading it, specifically the "each" indicates it could be either so mixed.
It's not "you may replace all your with <miss/torp>" Each to me indicates an individual basis.

"You may (treat each of your hard point upgrade icons as a torp or missile upgrade icon.)", where the "may" applies to the entire clause "treat each of your hard point upgrade icons as a torp or missile upgrade icon."
Mixed is certainly more interesting, IMO, and I don't think it would break anything. But a ship with a turbolaser that it powers up in the beginning of the game for a couple of long range shots before closing and using its missiles sounds fun, and no one has been talking about the possibilities.

It doesn't say it directly, but claims 21 out of the 26 cards are Huge Ship Only. If you look at the 3 EPT's (markmanship, expose, expert handling) then Agent Kallus, everything revealed is either Huge Ship or Gozanti only. Since it's referring to 26 physical cards, one of the unrevealed pairs has to be usable by standard ships. Crew and now Ordnance are the only cross over for upgrades, so I'm assuming it would have to be one of those.
I'm betting on ordnance, since it jives with the hype.
Eh, another for the faqpile.

That was my original read as well, but I could see an argument for
"You may (treat each of your hard point upgrade icons as a torp or missile upgrade icon.)", where the "may" applies to the entire clause "treat each of your hard point upgrade icons as a torp or missile upgrade icon."
The article equips the Raider with both torps and missiles. Normally, I'd say that's factual proof, but considering the Slam and Bomb fiasco, take it with a grain of salt.

I don't think there us any question that you can mix torps and missiles, it's just a little less clear whether you can keep a hard point as a hard point while converting another.
It uses "may", so I suspect it is optional.

Wait, I still think one of us must be missing something. If 21 of the 26 cards are ONLY equippable on huge ships, then the 2 sets of unspoiled cards which come in multiples HAVE to both be huge ship only, right?
21 Huge ship only+ Expert Handling + Marksmanship + Expose + Agent Kallus = 25 . There is only room for one more non huge ship specific upgrade, so it will not come in multiples. Therefore, one of the last three cards is not a title.
Card abilities can override the rules listed in this guide.
Nothing on that card says a Huge ship can take free actions however. So without a FAQ or Errata, then the golden rule does not help in this case.
Squad leader doesn't allow a ship with a stress to take an action, and this card does not allow a Huge ship to take a free action.
They will no doubt FAQ/Errata it, but until they do RAW it's quite clear that this card does nothing.
I was planning on picking up all of wave 2 next week. But some of those ships might get put on hold so I can get this sooner the later.
I thought I would wait for the Scum epic before I get into epic play, but it looks like this is a must-have for any epic player. Those modifications are too important.

Of Armada? Or are you still missing some a-wings?
Of Armada?
Yes, I guess I left that word out.
I'm pretty sure 6 A-Wings and 6 Tie Interceptors are enough... I'm also sure someone will disagree with that. ![]()

Sure it will be faq. The Huge Ship rules for Free Actions are there so that small ships can't give the huge ships free actions. Honestly Squad Leader should be FAQd as well as it contradicts with the new Core Set Golden Rule of card text over ruling other rules. There are still several cards out that need FAQd with the new core set rules.
Either way I may have to break my no buying X-Wing stuff until the first of the year rule.

If it revitalizes interest in Epic, it has me reconsidering getting a second Transport.

Actually, yeah..good point. I'm not thinking of this the right way.
Of its twenty-six upgrades, twenty-one are for use only with huge-base ships, and sixteen of those can be used with any huge ship, not just the Gozanti. These include two new Huge ship only crew, the Ordnance Experts team, a cargo upgrade, and three new Huge ship only modifications that simultaneously present you with potent abilities and important choices about how best to outfit your ships.
On second look, I think they're counting Kallus in that "for use only with huge-based ships". I'm pretty sure they are titles, since they're grouped together and you can see the Unique indicators.
I think it's an error in the article. You can't fulfull everything in the statement. If they're not counting Kallus as Huge Ship only crew, then one of the unspoiled 4 in the top row are a pair of crew cards. Then that throws off the count.
EDIT: I suppose there could be a single unique TIE in that bottom row title, but that doesn't really make sense to me.

Can the Raider and CR-90 take a mod on each half of the ship card?
I know first thing I'll do with this is run it with a bunch of bombers. Maybe a Redline flying around as well. Ordinance Experts sounds awesome as someone who loves Tie Bombers
Really? The first thing I'm going to do with it is run around the house making engine and laser noises!
+1
