Silence broken! New post at last.

Pretty sure Jonous and a couple bombers can hang out behind the epic ship while it fires a couple cluster missiles with weapons engineers. Sounds like too much fun not to try.

Or if they extend out in front of the Assault Carrier, if they have an Ordnance Experts team that would give them a buff all the way to range six (depending on the weapon) from the Gonzanti. One blank turns to a hit and with Jonus reroll anything else you don't like.

We may really have weapons platforms now and not just fighters. Epic is awesome

I don't own any Epic ships (high school budget) but I might invest in this ship! it's the coolest epic ship so far, it's not as expensive as the

corvet or the raider, and It can DOCK TIES!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

OK.....I love ordnance and Epic. This is fantastic!

Ordnance Tubes is going to be amazing. I think Proton Torpedoes with Ordnance Experts is going to be fantastic. Remember that crits in Epic are insane. Hitting enemy capital ships with Proton Torps will be nasty. Plasma Torps are also good in epic to take down enemy shields, especially when they can regenerate.

I really like that turret for the Gozanti. If you don't want ordnance, that's a good gun. Only 1 energy for some nice shots in 360. I might prefer this for the Gozanti than Ordnance Tubes.

The GR-75 with Energy Optimization is a frightful thing to behold.

Don't forget from the previous article:

{picture of Agent Kallus crew card} {picture of Scourge pilot card}

There's only 5 upgrades that can be used outside huge ships, so there's 2 of 'em. 3 more TIE Fighters to go?! Can't wait!

Somebody may have to count the cards in the spread photo, but for now I'm assuming the person who wrote the article wasn't counting "pilot cards" as "upgrades".

Went back and counted... sure enough 26 cards. So 5 of those upgrade cards will be usable outside Epic, PLUS hopefully 4 named tie fighters! PS 3,4,6,7 if I squint...

Automated Protocol is also very good. It allows you to do other things, but still slowly build up your shields. I'm also thinking about Instigator Raider title. It allows you to gain 1 extra shield when doing that action. Combine the two and you are getting back 2 free shield a turn.

Optimized Generators is also great! You get to stay in the fight longer and powering all those weapon systems you have. Once you start getting stuck in, you need all that energy to regen shields, fire weapons, etc.

I honestly think that these new cards put huge ships in a new place, the epic meta has just been shattered.

I think it's weird that all ships docked with the Gozanti have to be of the same type. Is there a gameplay reason for that? Because it doesn't make any logical sense.

That's what I truly love about this. It makes you go back to re-evaluate all the other Epics.

I know first thing I'll do with this is run it with a bunch of bombers. Maybe a Redline flying around as well. Ordinance Experts sounds awesome as someone who loves Tie Bombers

Throw in Ozzel for some fun.

It's Imperial.

Imperials operate in organized flight groups, swarms and squadrons.

I can't see why that's a rule. It's going to be interesting experimenting with who to put on it though!

should I put my 4 ties, or save my two Interceptor aces for the late game, and dock them?

or maybe my bombers, cause they don't have good defense?

;)

But in rebels the Inquisitors Tie was docked with 2 other normal ties.

So that's two things from the show this ship comes from they decided not to accurately portray.

That said, Ordnance Experts is a must have on Huge ships with Ordnance experts,

wait what???

Nice update though! Soooo excited to play some Epic now!

Agreed. You fit out a ship to carry a squad. A squad is usually all the same type of ship. I like it, personally.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the TAP next to a bunch of standard TIEs in Rebels.

What's the other thing?

I think it is just to keep things from getting too confusing if there are multiples of the assault carrier.

Probably the ships have to dock upside down.

No real reason for 3 of the same missiles on one huge ship, since I think you can only use one per round.

How so? They take the space of your hardpoints and you can fire those.

I made an error in the rules, reread the epic rules and found that epic ships CAN use as many secondary weapons as they like in a given round.

And ordnance doesn't cost energy to fire.

Anyone pointed out that Advanced Protocols doesn't actually work? Huge ships can't take free actions. And no, the "card beats rule" won't apply, just as you can't Squad Leader a stressed ship.

Unless I've missed some errata...

Not just the ships, but all the upgrades and crew as well.
