You just won worlds. What card do you design?

As the topic title says, lets hear your idea for a new card you would design.

Do any of you know when we might see Paul Heavers new card?

I would design a defensive card that is expendable. In with the new trend of cards like Crackshot and Glitterstim. You can spend it only when you need to.

Evasive Thruster - Modification - 1 point

When defending, you may discard this card to add one [EVADE] to your results.

Midichlorian Injection.

Call it Glitterstim for Rebels.

I thought about this a lot during the Worlds coverage. I came up with two similar ideas and I'd let FFG tell me which would work better.

EPT, 3pts. Fighter Screen/Fighter Escort (unique)

When defending, for each other friendly ship at range 1, you may re-roll 1 defense dice.

OR

When another friendly ship at range 1 is defending, it may re-roll 1 defence dice.

I know, I know. Someone is going to point out that, yes, there are multiple threads existing with this exact question asked, yada yada, and they will be inclined to post some post as though seeing a new post with the exact same premise as previous posts in some way personally tires and offends them.

But not me. I am not even passive-aggressively suggesting that beneath some shallow premise of admiration.

It takes a certain (and I think admirable) sense of personal liberty to post anew what has been discussed previously ad infinitum. - Nay sayers be darned! So I for one, am willing to re-express my old opinions in a brand new post! Vive la Liberté!

I would design a unique turret-jamming card - one that allowed the ship so equipped to avoid all turret fire outside the attackers primary firing arc.

Overdrive

Action: Perform a free barrel roll action. Then perform a free boost action. Then receive two ion tokens.

"rubber Baby buggy bumpers" (will compromise on the name) 4points

Large ship only Modification

When an enemy ships movement causes it to over lap you, roll one red dice, on a (hit) use the 1(straight) template and move that ship backwards on a (critical) also suffer one face up damage card

I would design a new Slave 1 title.

Slave 1: Fire Spray only. You may equip this card if your pilot skill is (x) what ever Fetts skill is. You may equip a canon at a -3 cost.

crackshot deserves to be used more times per game

it is a wonderful card

also buffs ordnance and other unseen but cool epts such as a-rush and lightning reflexes and cool hands, which I fear won't ever be used otherwise

"Double Bluffer" - enemy ships that end their maneuver in your arc at range one cannot use boost or barrel roll.

Defender Title: Sighting Fire

If you score one or more hits with your Primary Weapon you may immediately fire your Cannon upgrade at the same target.

Might make it require a Target Lock or Focus.

Cannon, 3pts, 3 attack dice, range 1-2, Scum only

Attack: When this attack hits, cancel all dice results. Then, the target loses 1 shield and you gain 1 shield (up to your maximum). If the target can't remove a shield token, it gains an ion token instead.

Once per turn, you may spend a focus token to perform an additional attack with a primary or secondary weapon.

"Rak'Ghoul" Medium Energy Vampire

Cannon, 5pts, 4 attack dice, range 1-2, Scum only, large ship only

Attack: When this attack hits, the target loses 1 shield for each uncancelled hit or crit. Gain a shield (up to your maximum) for each shield removed this way. If the target can't remove one or more shields, it gains the same number of ion tokens.

Once per turn, you may spend a focus token to perform an additional attack with a primary or secondary weapon.

EPT, 1pts, Firespray only

You may take an additional EPT.

Your action bar gains the boost icon.

I want a 4 point EPT that worth it's weight. Here goes

Counter Attack- when defending, if you roll more evade results than required to cancel all damage, you may deal one damage for every excess evade result to the attacker.

I also want this effect, but I don't know if it should be an ability or a cannon or even ordnance.

When attacking, your hit result count as 2 hit results. They may still be evaded by 1 evade result.

Makes a 2 attack ship as strong as a 3, but can still be cancelled by 2 evades.

granted you could only do it once, but you could (with this upgrade) double crackshot on a single combat round. with negative evades do you take bonus damage? seems a but too good.

also hilarity of double lightning reflexes for 360 noscope.

A free title for Red Squad X-wings giving them an EPT slot. Call it Rogue Squadron.

Heck, a free title that gives any X-wing PS 4 and over an EPT slot (but no more than 1). For the cost, they all should have a EPT slot!

Modification. Automated Weapon System. 1 point

After firing a missile or torpedo, you may attack the same target with your primary weapons.

Makes ordnance a bit more lethal and gives alpha strikes more punch.

During the beginning of the activation phase, choose an enemy ship at range 1. The enemy player rolls 1 defence dice. On a (Focus result) they take a focus action. On a (Evade result) they take an evade action. This counts as their preform action step for this round. Then you receive one stress token.


I like the second one the most, i feel it's rich in strategy. If you do it to a ship that can't evade, you might have just given it an evade or focus, or given it no action. If the ship has PTL, you might have allowed it to push before moving, and just green moving the stress off. However, if it causes an action to happen, you can't do it to stressed ships. So it might be better if it gives a token... thoughts?

B-Wing Pilot

Paul Heaver - PS 13

During the planning phase you do not need to set a maneuver dial. When activating your ship you may choose any maneuver you wish. When executing your maneuver, If your ship or template overlaps another ship or obstacle token, or leaves the play area you may select another maneuver.

High Impact Warheads - Modification (4)

When attacking with a Missile or Torpedo, if the attack hits, the defender suffers one additional damage.
