Was Qui Gon really Dooku's double agent?

By GrimmyV, in X-Wing Off-Topic

I'm sure a lot of y'all have heard about the theory that Qui Gon was a secret Sith because of how crappy of a Jedi he was...

Well, what if he had actually been working with Dooku the whole time in order to undermine Palpatine/Sideous and rule the Galaxy for themselves? Sifo Dyas (how ever you spell it) could have also been in on the conspiracy. Or an unwitting pawn. Either way Dooku left the order around the same time Qui Gon was killed and Sifo had placed the clone order. Qui Gon's death was not foreseen and it forced Dooku to work with the man who he was trying to undermine I order to further his plans.

If Qui Gon had not died and Maul was still killed Dooku might still had worked for Sideous, or Qui Gon may have done so in secret waiting to double cross both the Sith and the Jedi, as well as training a new super powerful padawan and still having a loyal ally in Obi Wan if he could be convinced that the rest of the order was corrupt.

I dunno, it's crazy and also fun to think about alternate character interpretations. Any thoughts or other crazy interpretations?

I think a lot of loyal fans are making crazy theories because Lucas had no idea how to tie his prequel movies together, and the fans want so badly for the canon to make sense.

Ep1

midiclorians got ignored from the canon soon after they were panned. Killing Darth Maul in ep1 instead of using him the entire prequel series was utterly disappointing. Think of a Vader vs. Maul face off for who gets to be sideous' apprentice! Epic opportunity missed. Why does Anakin have to start off as a kid?

Ep2

Poorest written love story ever. Seriously I've seen love stories with better chemistry before the pizza guy starts railing the housewife. Boba Fett is a clone? Every clone trooper is a clone of Boba Fett? No one ever closes the loop on the Syfo Dias loop, which means the third of the movie that is Obi-Wan's detective story has no conclusion or payoff. The only good part is the battle of geonosis, and that's even bad. Professionally bred soldiers with automatic weapons all walk in a line into another army firing automatic weapons back at them? What happened to the concept of practical effects and costuming? It was all a cartoon!

Clone wars was supposed to be about the sith cloning Jedi to confuse and conquer the republic. That was how it was framed in the thrawn novels, and what Lucas did was utterly disappointing.

Ep3

Christiansen still a terrible actor. Even Natalie Portman, Ewan Mcgregor and Sam Jackson can't save his performance. Anakin goes from helping Mace to agreeing to slaughter children in like 10 minutes. WTF? All my childhood I heard "Vader hunted down and killed the Jedi". But then he doesn't, he kills children while the clones do the heavy lifting and kill all the masters and Knights.

None of this makes any sense and unfortunately it was a poorly thought out cash grab by Lucas at the end. I'm glad Disney bought Star Wars, and they're poised to make it good again.

Dear god, this screams Vergere all over again.
