Sunless Sea has captured me for now. Double XP is nice, though. I shouldn't game anyway, exams on Monday and Wednesday!
Star Wars Battlefront
Dawn of War, Road Redemption, Eternal Crusade and Angels fall First (what battlefront could have been) are all saying no... double XP though...
Or just updating the old Battlefront. Or Space Marine, or The Line.
For the first time in a little while picked up the fighter squadron and was rather useless, A-Wings felt less powerful. But that was just me being a bit out of shape.

Me too! I managed to kill 3 A-wings, despite my perceived skill atrophy. Maybe they were out of practice like us, but it seemed like A-wings were just a little less immortal.
Funnily enough i noticed A wings being a little easier to hit (and be hit in) this weekend.
I did wonder if it was just 'bad' a wing players when i was playing imperial but i shot down a few over the last couple of days.
Hey, maybe we're all just getting better at shooting down those blasted fighters!
You all can't be Fatedshadow bad.

I was really hoping for some kind of A-Wing/general Rebel tuning in Fighter Squadron after the recent patch, but I don't know. I could be convinced, but A-Wings didn't really seem any less difficult to kill or to be killed in.
I mean, the fact that picking up a cooldown refresher makes your shield cooldown the same length as the shield duration is pretty ridiculous.
Slave 1s 'jammer' is just as silly, it seems to be ready to use again as soon as its worn off.

I just bought an Xbone. Battlefront is not on my list of games, so I can't input an opinion other than the fact that I don't like the balancing from videos and technical info available to me.

Its not worth it if you can't go into child mode in my opinion. I sometimes can and I really love it when that happens, but other than that I'd rather play better games. I so wish they wouldn't have put in a stupid progression model so I could still enjoy the whole game that way (still haven't unlocked some perks). Can't wait for Overwatch by the way, thats going to be a really great game!
Goes double for console, wouldn't touch it there, I can't imagine them hitting 60 FPS. Then again, I wouldn't touch a console, I just am not the demographic for that.
I wasn't either, but working two jobs puts a dent in build orders. Hence why I have hundreds of dollars of W40k sitting on my dresser unassembled.
I play tanks on the console, apart from using the worst reticle, along with minor rear driving, console games can take a assortment of controls. Which is why I get pissed when the "lack of demand" bull card is played to not make XvT or RS/JS sequels.
It really boils down to just not liking how the game operates, and I don't like how their method of balancing is one sided, and childish.

To be fair, that balancing really only is a problem in the asymmetrical modes. Those do happen to be the more interesting ones, though.
The exception is Heros vs. Villains - that mode is well balanced (if only I wouldn't suck as much with the imperial heros) but not symmetrical. It is also the most team play dependant and just in general a really fun ride, too bad that people don't play it much. If there was some more variety to the heros this would be great.
Yes! I love Heroes vs. Villains, but sometimes when you're the hero, the best strategy is to run and hide while your teammates try to take down the opposing Heroes, which isn't quite as fun, but it sure is effective. Especially if you are Leia or Emperor and can heal.
But I think all modes depend greatly on team play. It's just that larger battles make it more difficult to read what others are doing, so you can't adapt your tactics to help your squad as easily. Times where I've been crushed on Walker Assault usually involve a good balance of enemy snipers and infantry guarding the uplink points, while my own team haphazardly mounts a counter Assault, ultimately getting picked off one at a time.

If you are doing that, you are playing Leia wrong, she is an incredible initiator with her abitlity that one shots troops, because that applies stun to heros. Lead Villains into traps where your team is, stun them there and they are a guaranteed hero kill. Leia is my favourite hero for that very reason!
Leia is my favourite hero too. Tanky, self heal, and some good attack.
I don't find the game unbalanced. Well....the A-wing has been annoying, but not broken. Beyond that, I haven't seen anything that one side has over the other in any of the game modes. Some modes have AT-ST's, but they can be easy to kill, while Rebels have Speeders. I've seen a close fight most of the time on most game modes, with a few sides being brutally one sided. Didn't matter which side they were on. There are sometimes just stacked teams.
I dunno though, I've played Walker Assaults where the AT-AT's were almost unharmed till right near the end when the Rebels would suddenly spawn oodletons of speeders and bring them down.
I've played on maps of all game types and seen one side dominate the other, but it's more about one team being better than about the game itself.
Well I don't think the update has come out yet, but I have notice for some reason I hit and kill A-Wings more often when I have more energy in engines over cannons, or max engines, when I use guns. I just love killing A-Wings. I wish I could still shoot them down when I am forced to be a Reb, with my Extremely awesome X-Wing... Its just 20% cooler than any A-Wing ever.
I honestly preferred Lines over Interceptors. Probably because galaxies and the old battlefronts balanced them differently.

I thought I noticed the same thing yesterday! But I dismissed it because it made no sense. Maybe there's something to that. Sure makes it easier to not get shot down by the Rebel wingmates when you're not slowed to a crawl.Well I don't think the update has come out yet, but I have notice for some reason I hit and kill A-Wings more often when I have more energy in engines over cannons, or max engines, when I use guns.
All this time all we needed to do was just do the above trick to kill A-Wings, and now some time this month they are getting Nerfed LOL
1.05 update patch on PS4 today and a new single player mission 'ice caves survival'
Perhaps the A wing will have been adjusted as part of this.
Im going to play some fighter squadron and find out
