No, I mean the T-21B (I thought that was the name, but isn't that a tank from Empire at War?). I landed a few hits and thought, "Hey, I can do this!" Managed to shoot down an X-wing, A-wing, and finally a T-47 while on Jakku. So fun!
Star Wars Battlefront
That's actually pretty impressive.
I've killed with the pulse rifle, and damaged with the T-21B but to actually land a kill... Nice one.
Origin has now a sale on Battlefront. I am wondering whether to buy the game.
Having played beta, I am disappointed by what DICE has delivered. Gameplay on YT also is not very impressive, I've read about multiple balance problems. What say you? Perhaps wait for some bigger sale?
I'll go back to Battlefront when DLC released and A-wings fixed.
For now ARMA3, Space Engineers and Eternal Crusade are making it so my XBONE isn't even being turned on.

Look, we're all on the X-wing forums, so we know how it goes when a company releases a base game that doesn't even have enough content to run a squad at the suggested point total. I think $30 for this game is easy to justify when you consider some of the $30 expansions for X-wing.
P.S. It's always good to have more players online. If you've read the gamer news sites, you've probably seen how the number of players is dropping. I think we can turn this around. Also, there's a community challenge right now that I'm totally excited about, and everybody who accomplished the daily challenge will help us all reach the goal!
Edited by ParakitorYeah for $30 absolutely. Just saying right now It needs more to justify any more.
Hmm, quick convert shows it's not even 30$ for the version with Jakku. More like 27-28. Not bad I guess. Will have to think about it.
I like the game and am happy with the full price I paid (I mean, who doesn't like cheaper?).
I played a lot of Battlefront on PC and am happy with this game. The only balance issues I really see are when one side is stacked with players who are good or the A-wing. Besides that, I don't really see an issue. I do wish they would scramble teams after rounds, though.
I guess the question is: What didn't you like about the beta?
The game play is pretty great, and I can't wait for A-wings to be fixed. But I pre-ordered. That there are already such steep discounts hurts a bit, and I'm not seeing the value in the DLC yet. For the price of a second full game we're getting a few maps and modes that still don't make the original game feel complete. Dark Souls 3 comes out in a couple months. It will take over my PS4.
I've been playing Destiny the past month. Actual gear and character progression, story driven missions. Their match making sucks but there are websites for that now.
Yeah on jakku walker assault if you get decent pilots in the a-wing the empire is boned they dominate the skies for ages.

That'd really suck for groups who like to play together.

There is ways around that, you can still scramble with parties. Of course an 8 stack of highly skilled guys is still going to skew the whole thing, but you could at least swap the guys who get to win with them so you don't get on a frustrating losing streak.

Think there will be new vehicles and such in the DLC. Someone stated that in the little mobile app that you can play the little game on there is a list of how many kills you have gotten for different ships. Y-wing is on the list. Probably new cards and/or weapons. Not just new maps and modes.
Personally, I can't play Destiny. I don't have more than 45 min to dedicate to gaming at one go. I pick up games here or there. Destiny is one that requires dedication.

That's promising to hear about more ships. They need to release more info before I bite though.
I find Destiny pretty quick (20 minutes or so a strike) except for the raids. Even with those there are checkpoints so you could potentially kill a boss a night if you wanted.
I personally think its been worth every penny i paid for it. I bought it for about £40 or £45 in the uk and i've easily played it for at east that many hours.
I was hoping to see more heroes like chewbacca for the rebel and IG88 for the villains.
(the emperor seems out of place tbh and Leia is a bit boring)
I'd like to see more vehicles and perhaps a 'royal guard' skin as the imperials dont have quite as much player 'variety' as the rebels. I mean both sides get male and female heads of various races but the rebels have three or four alien heads and the imperials ust have scout trooper and dark trooper/shadow trooper (im not that fussed about those as they were never in the films)
An option to have a two player Y wing ot T47 would be awesome with one flying and one shooting
I'd like to see a Tantive IV map...
I agree that I've gotten my money's worth. I also want to see more heroes. I bet we will see more with expansions.
I do think they could've done a lot more for Imperial decorations. They could've gone without shoulder pads....then with.....then some other slight variant. etc.
I can't wait to play the Death Star maps, especially the ground ones.

Oh FFS! I just bought it the other week... now I feel kinda cheated.

I want starfighter combat in space.

Leia is my favourite hero to take on other heros! Her permastun is just so crazy. "Oh Vader, if you want to use that sword you should first learn how to walk forward!" I am a bit biased, though, since I really like heros vs. villains, which i wouldn't have expected. Initialy I saw it as the weakest play mode, but I can really get into these small focused matches. Leia pretty much is the key for a rebel win in that mode, she can kill any hero with some backup if hes caught alone. Both she and the emperor also work as healers in that mode.

Oh, that sux man. But as someone mentioned, return it for refund and buy again. Should be possible.
As for what I didn't like in beta. The guns mostly, it just felt like BF4 with laser bullets. Somehow didn't feel Star Wars'y.
Then again, it is a SW game.
Better that, then the LEGO nonsense.

Well, I bought it on Origin...
I want starfighter combat in space.
Yeah.....but I want it to be more than just a furball. I want missions and all sorts of stuff. I think that's a whole other game, to be honest. I want X-wing vs. Tie Fighter on Xbox with modern graphics. Just taking what they have and putting it in space doesn't really offer me much, to be honest. I mean, the background changes. Meh. Actually, it makes it harder to see ships, most likely. I don't mind it in atmosphere.

Yeah, I agree with you about H vs. V being better than I thought. I had some missions involving heroes and tried it out. It is a lot of fun. I have to admit that I need to play those solo games with all the different heroes to really figure them out. I JUST found out how to block shots with a light saber. I don't even know what the Rebel special abilities are, to be honest.
That's one thing I like about this game....I can switch game modes. I play Fighter mode sometimes. I switch to Supremacy, but then Blast when my team lets me down. I like the Pod game. Heroes for when I want something really different.
I honestly want a PC again just to play the old SW games. Everything since last gen has either been mediocre or failed.
