Speed Boost is so poorly implemented in this game it sickens me. It basically does nothing at all.

It does break locks.

It gets me back into the action a little faster, since I always seem to spawn out in the Outer Rim...

Sounds good, but will the changes only be active in the death star expansion? You can only use cloud cars in the bespin expansion... you can only play the game modes introduced in expansions in those expansions.

Maybe someday they'll open everything up so you can play what you want when you want to.

There's a new hutt contract out now. Sounds interesting. I've never realized how uncommon it is for me to get melee kills until I tried to specifically get them.

At sw hq on youtube they said the changes would be made for star fighters in everymode they are in.

I just don't know if i like it that x-wings kinda just became harder to kill with interceptors, because they lose the ion cannon, and the targeting computers needing cooldown... that will help boost be better, some what, but it could end up.making A-Wing uber agian. I don't know i guess we will have to adapt to its new characteristics, maybe it will only be super uber the first couple days it comes out.

Also i think the DS dlc got delayed.

I've also found Speed Boost to be really good when you have objects to fly around. I've used Speed Boost a lot more in Bespin then I have in other areas.

So apparently targeting computers in starfighters will have a time limit of use before needing to cool down.

A-Wings will be losing their shields, but get a super boost so they can out run anything.

To me it sounds like the a-wing will become uber agian, and if Interceptors are getting an anti-cap ship laser, does that mean theres more than just a mission for attacking the death star?

A-wings without shields will be A LOT easier to kill. As it is now, they go grab the refresh boost and just pop shields all the time. If they run out, they loop around until they recharge. Shields make them really hard to kill. Without shields? It will be a lot easier to get them, is what I say.

Man, I didn't even know there was a new Hutt contract out. I'm not sure when I'll get to play, but I'm looking forward to it.

Getting really hyped for the Death Star release. Especially because they are taking stuff from the Jedi Knight series!

Bryar Blaster Pistol with the ability to charge up one powerful shot, Imperial Repeaters with the ability to create an explosive blast, and trip mines, all seen in Jedi Outcast! I wonder if this means will be seeing Kyle and Jan in the new canon at some point.

The targeting computer is what you lock-on with in starfighter mode, you need it to have your ions or proton torpedoes track targets. Or your cannons to follow the enemies.

Also i thought i should point out in swbf updates, they showed their will be y-wing pickups in ds dlc also TIE Defenders are in the background fighting ships in the distance. Also they think the DS2 is an alternate map, which i am crossing my fingers for.

I'm crossing my fingers that they will make HD uparaded versions of Battlefront 1 and 2.

I actually like the sound of having targeting computer on a timer, makes it harder.

I know. I just got the first one for xbox, and it is by far the best game in the series.

2nd was pretty good. The only issue I really had was that space was ... incomplete. You know?

Agreed. If only they remade the game today so that you had to battle your way from the hanger, through the passageways of the ship, into the engine room, and then take out the reactor from inside.

All the while the ground battle rages on the planet or space station below.

It's pretty good so far. Battlestation is incredibly fun and balanced, and the new maps are spectacular as always. I've unlocked the Bryar, and it seems pretty good. The primary attack might as well not exist, but the secondary attack is a OHK explosive shot that doesn't seem to have a damage drop-off. It feels a lot like the gun did in Outcast. Bossk is overpowered like crazy though. He can outlast any of the other heroes with his regen, and he stills incredible damage output. Chewie is easily the best Rebel hero now, but in games with lots of people, Bossk is unstoppable.

I've haven't touched Battlefront in months, didn't even bother with Bespin. Really just got bored with it, but after seeing the DS DLC I'm jumping back in. It looks like what Battlefront should have been in the first **** place.

Well TIE Defenders are not just background ships, but you can summon them as wingmen. You can summon B-Wings, Interceptor Y-Wings, TIE Bombers, TIE Defenders.

They all are one hit ko ships, in that you die the second they see you, only the falcon and X-Wing are sorta safe if they can turn on there shields in time, and they all have the range and accuracy of the bombers in swbf 1&2, my only problem is i cant tell what ships are in the distance unless they kill me, if you die from a fighter thats a little dot on your screen, its one of these ships.

So far its my fav dlc, although i don't know how much replay value it has compared to Bespin. We only get three maps, the last one has a huge bug in it, that if one of the designated rebel attack tun pilots doesn't die, the game will never end, even if the timer is at 0.

In a match i was in the top player had 40-60 kills just because the game wouldn't end. I actually considered quitting the match.

I like the new cannons on tie interceptors, even the falcon dies real fast.

If i heard this right, all traits give powerups with its chance depending on your trait lvl.

Sharper shooter has been dramaticly fhanged, it makes you do more damage, depending on lvl, if you zoom in with the scope of your guns. So you should now be able to have a 1 shoot kill dlt-19x, no matter were you shoot the enemies.

Scouts been changed, i don't like what they did, unstead of becoming invisible to the radar, no matter what you do, when you get into a specific range at trait lvl 3 you jam all the enemy players radars. I see this becoming as useful as cloak was in halo 4, which did something similar, any time the radar went nuts we knew someone had cloak nearby, soo we would look in places close by to get them.

Oh and you can kill TIE Defenders, B-Wings, Interceptor Y-Wings, and TIE Bombers. I have killed them all but the Y-Wing. I just cant find it to kill it, i have used it myself though, thats how i know they are in the game.

Things changed with flying and I'm feeling very uncomfortable flying ships at the moment. I'm not sure what changed, but I'm worse at it than before.

A-wings lost their Shield ability!!!! I'm incredibly happy about that as I felt they were broken with Shield. They have Boost now, which is much more thematic. I find I like playing them more, as well. I think it's because X-wings feel so much more like a boat than the A-wing.

I'm dying like a newb on about every game type. Bleh. Life is rough.

I'm going to play some offline when I get home today to get back into it. If I hop right in I'll get wrecked.

Nope, it's DSI, parts look like the DSII though (They said in a livestream it was because they figured parts would look similar, and they wanted to get that feel, and the Lucas Story Group agreed)

I wish, they made parts of the first deathstar have elements of the 2nd one.

I guess if you want to fight at the 2nd Death Star you still need x-wing alliance or rogue squadron 2 or 3.

And the awesome thing about the 2nd deathstar battle is that it realisticly shows how suicidal to fight anywhere in or outside the 2nd deathstar.

You could be running into the defenders, bombers, y-wings or b-wings. I wasn't kidding when i said they kill you real fast.

Also interceptors have the laser barrage ability that will let you kill anything super fast. I wouldn't be surprised if it got nerfed though :(

Man....I am SUCKING HARD in the space flight mode. What is going on?

What's the deal with the target locks? It used to just go red and you could get someone. Now....half the time I get a white circle around them and it doesn't seem to lock onto them. I don't get to fire at them. What's the deal with that? It happens a lot. I can' get my shots on someone as they are white.

It seems impossible to find people when you are trying to blow up/defend the Star Destroyer. I'm looking and looking and....I'm blown up all of a sudden. I mean, I just can't seem to find people enough to kill them. OK...I got a little better by the end of tonight, but I'm still not good. I did get decent at using Boost to move around objects or to boost to the other side of the Star Destroyer. I even got to be the Falcon one time, but I couldn't find that many people to actually shoot! Or...they just zipped past me. Or I had the white circle. Oh, I got a few, but.....it was really hard.

I am utterly terrible at the Trench Run bit. I just....can't seem to get people. I can't seem to get a TL on anyone, or if I do, I just get about 3 X-wings behind me.

So, on the Trench Run, I saw a little upgrade and grabbed it. It said TIE BOMBER. OK....I hit both buttons to kick off the upgrade. You know, like you do for a hero or one of the star upgrades. Well....nothing happened. It would occasionally flash TIE BOMBER on the screen. I'd hit both bumpers and....I'd boost and fire my missile off. How the hell do you get to use the upgrade ships?!?!?!?

Where do you find the upgrade ships, as well?

Man....I'm doing exceptionally bad in space flight. I've gone from one of the top pilots in a round to the bottom 3. My k/d is usually around 2 / 10. I mean, I'm BAD. I just can't figure it out. I even went to original squadron battles, but the whole white circle thing is throwing me for a loop.

You cannot target lock an enemy ship indefinitely anymore. It has a cool down just like your blasters.

Soft lock [Vehicles]: An overheat mechanic has been added to the softlock system.

Really the best thing to do now is kind of do boom and zoom tactics. Pick a target at a distance fly at them when you get in close go for the target lock and blast them. Then GTFO and repeat. Ties and A-wings do this best due to the boost. I find that if I get into swirling dogfights I can't keep the TL up enough to bring someone down quickly before someone else comes in and blows me to pieces.

I got into Vader's Tie Advanced the last night. That thing is pretty sweet. Unfortunately, I got ganged up by 3 X-wings and they managed to bring me down. I did get four kills in it though.

Tie Bombers/Defenders & B-wings/Y-wings are NPCs

Fighter Squadron & Battle Station: New power-ups have been added for both the Rebel and Imperial sides. Once activated a group of AI vehicles will spawn in next to the player and engage the enemy in dog fighting for a duration of 60 seconds. The vehicles are:

• Y-wings and B-wings for the Rebels
• TIE Bomber and TIE Defender for Imperials

I really hope they become flyable.

My God they have added some gimmicky ass weapons to infantry combat. The **** Secondary shot or whatever the hell it is, is usually a one hit kill. You round a corner then BOOM! Dead. So dumb. The worst is the disruptor burst or whatever is the star card that can cause your weapon to overheat. Its simply the worst. You get the jump on an enemy, he hits this star card and all of a sudden your like &@*#, if you don't hit the reload perfectly you are basically dead. These cards have made infantry combat really frustrating and frankly not that fun.

Oooooohhhhh......no indefinite TL anymore. OK....that explains it. Duh. Thank you so much for explaining it to me. I'm an idiot who doesn't read the details. I don't really like this concept, but I guess I should try it out first. I should try the regular game mode first.

So....what does it matter if you spawn in as a Wingman? Anything special? Or you are just near the special character?

I haven't tried the new weapons, but I've been one shot killed by them with their power up. I'm mixed on it. They pretty much are the same thing as the Scout Pistol and the shotgun one. It's just that they are primary weapons, too. I'm close to getting the rifle one.

I actually like the overheat thing. Yeah, it's a pain, but it can really do a lot to break up choke points in the game. It's not super easy to use at them, but if you can get it off, it will change the game that would otherwise just be a bad thing for your side. One thing is if someone uses it on you, you can just use it back on them. At that point, you get to fire first again and should have them. I think you can also use star cards like Scout Pistol and such.
