Babylon 5 Conversion?

By headache62, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

So....any B5 fans out there? I'd love to see a B5 version of Armada (by someone who knows what they're doing better then me).

I was just thinking about this last night. Be cool to see, but I'm not sure how you'd handle things like the Excalibur 's main battery, or the maneuverability/size of a White Star . They handle more like fighters, but are full blown capital ships.

It would be awesome to have a fleet of Earth Force Omega -Class Destroyers backed up by Starfuries. though. Probably some of my favorite sci-fi designs.

Mongoose Publishing had a B5 fleet wargame some years back: A Call to Arms. Naturally, they dropped support after 2 years or so which is something that abhorrent company is well known for, but you can still find the ship models though these came unpainted and are of a smaller scale (more akin to the BFG ships).

Would be amazing to have high quality models of the same size as the Armada ships of course, but I don't see that happening. B5 is too obscure these days. Maybe shapeways but that gets expensive fast.

Damit. Now I'm drawing plans for a 4' Babylon station model.

Only 4"? Seems small.

For armada scale anyway.

wow that would be cool and I have some ships from Babylon 5, & Battlestar Galactica or just a separate game altogether using the same mechanics as armada.

and fantasty flight has rights to Battlestar Galactica so a armada game would be cool maybe a cross over as well where we can have rebels fight Cylons and Colonials fight Imperials.

who care if it doesn't make Sense...

that would double the different fractions to play.

Both Galactica and B5 would be great candidates.
