A few months ago I saw an adventure idea about a Clone Wars era ship that was being used as a "shadowport"...or something similar and I cannot find it now. I'm not even sure if it was here but if anyone can help...please let me know.
Secondly, anybody used a Tailring from the WEG product Black Sands of Socorro? IF so did you stat it up or just hand wave it. I was going to use the Bogwing as a base but no stats for those either, thanks!
I'm using that very idea in my EotE/AoR campaign. In the sector where the PCs are operating (both campaigns take place in the same sector at the same time) some unknown party has converted an old Lucrehulk-cruiser to a travelling starport. It's not a shadowport per se, although you can certainly find restricted and illegal goods there, but it travels at (seeming) random between systems, stops for a few hours or days so the locals can do some trading, and then jumps on. No one knows who's really behind it, but rumours say everything from the Hutts to the Rebels to pirates to Imperial sting operation.
Regarding the Tailring, Black Sands is about the only WEG book I don't have so I can't help you on that count.
To add on I believe the Clone Wars era ship was a Venator, it had been found by some smugglers who tried to keep it a secret...**** I can't remember more than that.
My campaign was designed to eventually have the PDA start their own shadow port on a damaged capital ship. The players are just about to salvage the ship and will need to decide if they want to take that route or not. It is heavily damaged but has a large hanger bay. One of the players has rebel contacts so the rebellion would likely make use of the shadow port. The ship is a quasar class bulk cruiser. It is entirely home brew and I mentioned it a few months ago on these forums but someone else may have Something more formalized.
