Playmats Wave 3 predictions

By mazz0, in X-Wing

What will they be?

I want surface of Hoth.

Jakku, the planet in Episode 7.

Can be dual-purposed to be Tatooine as well :)

your welcome :-)

Second death star. The gaps can break up the sea of grey and help prevent people getting lost in it.

I'm pretty sure op was referring to bespin and endor as wave 2.

I want a top down view of a damaged rebel transport leaving hoth. And a top down view of a star destroyer just outside the asteroid belt from empire.

I 2nd this

With all the Force Awakens stuff coming out right now, I'd be really surprised if the next wave didn't include at least one Episode 7 mat.

Hopefully the other is Hoth because it could only be gorgeous.

Tatooine would be great for epic.

Any word on when that Cloud City/Bespin playmat will be available for purchase?

*want it so bad*

Jakku and Starkiller Base.

I'm sure I've seen March 2016 quoted somewhere. It was right around the time of the original announcement so probably something at Worlds.

I certainly think that's a distinct possibility.

I think they'll probably consider that they've done enough Death Star. Maybe surface of the Executor?

I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the Death Star II playmat when I was at World's. I brought home the Bespin one, and it is awesome, but I should have just splurged and grabbed both of them.

I want surface of Hoth.

White tablecloth, job done!

100% sure they'll still be ice skating rinks.

Hmmm...

The Bespin mat looks bad for swarms, while I'd wager Scum pilots should reap the big benefits of a very one sided (OP?) Death Star 2 mat. This should shake up Worlds...

Personally I don´t care because I don´t like the surface of the official mats.
The custom ones I get printed on PVC is imo far better to move the ship/templates around on(and at approximately 11$ they are far cheaper as well)

They're certainly not the grippiest surfaces, but they look lovely, and they lie flat and don't move. In my experience mats that move or have wrinkles are a far bigger problem than your mini's sliding.

I have not had any wrinkle or moving problems with my own mats :)

or worst mats that try to roll back up.. or ones that have a cross hatch pattern on them. or are glossy. personally I think a mat with some star destroyers in the background would be cool and or one with the rebel fleet equivalent.

I got a sneak peak at the Hoth Playmat. It's pretty darn cool.

Are these standard vinyl mats or are they on the mouse pad material?

Mouse pad, like the other mats.
