Wife's sister lives just outside of Paris and her husband works in Paris. The incident created some quick texting at our house but they and their children were all safe at home.

I just had good news about a friend in Paris. He’s safe and sound, I will see him next Saturday on a RPG session.

That was not an easy weekend for me. My sister lost a friend in the Bataclan concert hall, and having lived in Paris 20 years ago, it certainly brought up a lot of feelings. I was also in the tubes during the London bombings 10 years ago (narrowly avoided one of the bombs, having just disembarked at King's Cross moments before it went off), and I have a feeling in my gut that is a little too familiar and more than a little paralyzing.

Hoping that all community members and their loved ones are safe.

We have heard from all our friends in Paris by now but it was a troubling affair over the weekend. A friend of ours however lost her brother in the Bataclan massacre... It is surreal.

Baghdad on friday too, I didn`t even know. All we hear about is the tradgedy in Paris. Paris, Beirut, Baghdad, be strong!
