His ability:

When performing a primary weapon attack against a stressed ship, roll 1 additional attack dice.

Title card: Outrider

When you have a Upgrade card equipped, you cannot perform primary weapon attacks and you may perform secondary weapon attacks against ships outside your firing arc.

If I equip the ship with the Outrider Title, does that negate Eaden's ability of using the primary weapon attack?

Just need some clarification here is all.

Yes, his ability becomes useless if you give him the outrider title.

Yes it negates it. If outrider is equipped only secondary attacks can be done. If your using the old damage deck, I believe if you draw munitions failure after taking a crit which makes you discard one of your secondary weapons and you only have HLC or another canon to discard, I believe you can then use your primary again. This is obviously highly circumstantial though.

How do you figure? The Outrider title isn't mandatory. And let's less and less effective the lower the PS of the ship.

There is a growing list of upgrades that self stress (Glitter stim, Bossk, Inertial Dampeners), as well as ships with better and better "turnaround" options (segnors loop, talon roll). You can add 3 large pieces of debris on the board, and he fights for the faction offering a multitude of stress inflicting ships.

If you can't find a use for him, you're not trying.

Pair him with a Tactician K-Wing or a Stressbot Y-Wing and you've got a 3 dice PWT for 32 points. That's pretty decent.

Completely disagree. Firstly, when you play him right, you will be in range 1 quite often against low PS ships or block high PS ships with the barrel roll (you can give him "Intelligence agent" for one extra point too to increase accuracy of blocking). Secondly, in the todays meta, stress happens frequently.

* Brobots k-turn mostly every second turn

* Interceptors and A-wings are stressed all the time

* Stresshogs (Y-wings) with R3-A2 combos (or ships with tacticians) (especially now you will see some more after Heavers win at Worlds).

* PTL Dash

* 2 turning shuttles and 1 turning b-wings (quite often)

* Scum ships with the new outlaw tech will use red maneuvers more often

* Glitterstims + Intertial dampeners

* Bossk

* Debris fields

(* Koiograns and stop maneuvers from shuttle and YV-666)

(* Critical hits)

And often the fear to get stressed and giving Eaden 3 (or 4) dice influences opponents way of playing negatively.

Stressbots also stress the hog, giving Vrill yet another target. I think I need to try to make a Vrill + K-list.

Vrill is one of the more under-rated pilots in the game right now. He makes a really cheap and durable tool in a rebel squad. Slap APL on him and he is a tremendous ace blocker. You don't even need to build in stress dealers into your squad. His ability won't proc every turn, but it happens often enough. And at range 1, it's four dice.

There was a worlds list with Eaden in it from the preliminary rounds.

HLC in arc and 3 or 4 dice in what would be the donut hole for an Outrider equipped 2400. With the barrel roll (and possibly a boost) long range maneuvering isn't too hard getting ships in arc and add anti pursuit lasers or an ion projector for those peasky arc dodgers. Having the option of a primary turrent available so you can get a shot off, even a 2 dice one, isn't bad.

Of course you could just take Mangler cannon and Outrider and solve the donut hole problem that way.

I really wish his ability was a die PER stress token

Hlc eaden eats ps2 ships alive and gives you 4 dice primary shots on someone like soontir. I love the 2400.

I ran Eaden Vrill in my list at regionals. He'd get 3 dice shots regularly, and would usually get a handful of 4 dice shots every game. I also ran him with gunner, and he stripped tokens like there was no tomorrow.

I think Vrill is also good for epic. Give the GR75 an EM Emitter, and hide Eaden behind it with Dash Rendar crew. Jam action and fire away. Probably a good idea to have the transport regenerate shields.

it is like putting Gunner/Luke<crew> on Outrider. It is useless unless a munition failsafe crit comes up, and considering since upgrade cards will not get discarded unless through a self discarding mechanic that will be a fairly rare occurrence.

If you want a cheap HLC turret, just go with the wild space fringer with Outrider HLC. Well, 3 PS does get you above most TLT's, so maybe going Outrider Cannon on Vrill is a decent pick.

I prefer my 2400 with chewbacca crew
