It's been a couple of months since we had some X-wing news on something good. I'm disregarding the dial replacement announcement, because although reasonable, it was hardly earth moving.
When are we going to see something new that we can sink our fangs into? Something that will start the list building with fresh new ideas?

I dunno.. I kind of like this suspense of new stuff possibly getting here and *not* already being bored with everything that's in the box since it's been discussed to death for three weeks prior to it's arrival.
News makes me buy more X-wing gear. So I've been saving my nickels for a few weeks.

Maybe they are trying to not spoil units a long time before we get them anymore. This way, they are still fresh when we get them, instead of brainstorming on the next wave already.
If I take Imperial Assualt as an exemple, it's only when the expension Return to Hoth got onto the boat that they started spoiling some things from it. Then, we got 3 news for it in 1 week.
Sad for the Vassal players that start playing with units as soon as they are spoiled, but for us that only play on the table, that's not a terrible thing. I must build my team with what is currently available, but sometime it is hard when you know what is coming: Interceptor suddenly didn't seemed as great when I learned that Autothrusters was coming and now, X-Wing seems a little bit lacking knowing that Integrated Astromech is on the way.
I don't mind a few spoilers here and there but I hope they never spoil a dial again. They've only not spoiled 2 dials IIRC--the E-wing and YT 2400.
It's the final thing you need to be able to play a ship early and it's not like we need to see it for weeks to grasp the intricacies of the dial.

That's true, but for Mu0n and the rest of the Vassal community... we don't mind dials being spoiled at all

not yet, but do know every effect and none of them surprise me....so... no tactical loss.

Everything we've seen in the epVII trailers is from the first third of the movie.
I think there are at least a few new ships in the movie (that lego thing that looked like a b-wing for a start)
They did a good job of keeping the new core set hidden.
Is it a leap to think they may have a whole wave waiting to launch shortly after the movie?
We must hibernate till EpVII dawns
then our god Printer will supply us with moar goodies!
