What are you using to fix the fibres in place? I used various glues but they often melt. Going with hot glue next time around. Also what diameter fibres are they .
Looks great.
That's fantastic can you post about where you got your parts and which ones you specifically used
I use crazy glue actually and have had no issues with melting. Optic fiber is .25mm

I push the fiber through the hole and glue on the back side to not mess up the end.

Optics terminate to a 5mm led Used same 5mm on my VSD

Edited by Kuk111"I can't let you do that, Akbar..."

they key to optics is finding your termination point and solving the puzzle of how to get all the fibers there
here is the gladiators termination point with a sort of plug adaptor i made from shrink tubing i got at hardware store. the 5mm Led slides snug into the large end. all this sits under the battery switch board. You can see all the optics running from the lower portion of the hull to the top half (total pain) and bridge tower also running in. this was only place i could see to fit the termination

I. Love. This.
The red was a really nice touch up front.
Just followed the picture
thanks for the love though!

Nice job! Love the effects with the fiber optics.
ty oh wise one!
If you ever want to do some commission work id totally send you my ships to mod. I love this. Looks good.
This is majestic. Fantastic work!
