Conner Net? 3 scenerios in FAQ, 1 Question.
Your opponent is wrong. He'd be ionized next turn and skips his action this turn.
Edited by Darth EmphaticIn all 3 cases, the ship will suffer all the effects of detonating the Conner Net: suffer 1 damage, receive 2 ion tokens, and skip its "Perform Action" step. In Case 3, it receives the 2 ion tokens, but because of the timing, they are discarded before they can have any effect. In Case 2, it receives the "skip Action step" effect, but it does nothing since the ship has already completed that step, and the effect just goes away at the end of the phase.
And in Case 1, like always, it receives the damage, it skips its Action step, and it receives 2 ion tokens. The FAQ is simply clarifying that the effect of the ion tokens are not applied immediately when the ship activates, but will stay on the ship and have their normal effect in the next Planning Phase.
And this may have just been a typo, but just in case:
Case 3: If a ship is ionized, executes its white 1 straight maneuver, and overlaps a Conner Net, all ion tokens are discarded at the end of the maneuver (including those received from Conner Net).My response: Makes sense no problems here. The ship runs over the token with it's maneuver takes 1 damage collects its 2 ion tokens immediately. Then after executing that maneuver removes all tokens per the Ion Token reference card. Following through on the card, the ship is then able to preform actions.
It's true that the Ion Token reference card says the ship "may perform actions as normal," but the Conner Net's instructions to skip the Perform Action step take precedence here, so no actions.
Thank you for the clarification.
