I just move to England from Canada. Going to a tournament in tomorrow morning. Just getting a feel for the meta in England. Any help would be appreciated.

Local metas can be quite variable in the UK, best thing to do is get some games on a regular night with the local crowd to get a meta read for where you are playing. Most of the UK x-wing players are on the facebook group so its well worth joining and asking around on there if you haven't already.

Yea, that's like asking what the meta is in Canada. Varies enough even from Toronto to Mississauga!

The meta is in a strange place at the moment. Brobots was rather strong, but since the half ship ruling and TLT's have come out its really anyone's guess what people will be flying.

I'd expect, in no particular order.

Miranda/poe + other stuff (either 2-3 ship rebel build or dash)

Palpmobile + aces

Soontir/vader mini swarm

5K's

TLT spam.

Feedback swarm

As mentioned, Meta changes depending on what area you are playing in, where are you living?

We are tiny little place compared to Canada for sure but I don't think UK is nearly specific enough!

I'm not even sure there is a meta now in the way there was 6 months ago tbh. Without knowing anything about the area/store/group your going to ID just presume the same mix you would anywhere.

i have seen no real meta in the last tournament i went to,the was a good mix and two palpmobiles one with fel and vader one with a phantom and fel,the vader+fel won by lucky dodge dice and terrible attack dice but one hit at a time got things killed. in the final round with both palpsmobiles fighting it out.

At the UKTC there were aces and palp mobiles everywhere....

Hahaha Thanks everyone! Just getting around to seeing some of the later comments. It was a casual tournament in Stourbridge. Lots of great people and players!!! I must say I had a great day last Saturday. Sadly I flew against very similar lists. All were worthy opponents and Saturday reminded my how much dice play into this game. Made a couple mistakes... but I had fun trying a new list and I was really Pleased with its performance.

Deathrain is a BEAST! Does amazing things and really messes with how people play the game. I must say that Mines are A LOT of fun and a must try!

I find giving Biggles the tea & crumpets upgrade gives him a bit of an unfair advantage over any imperial or scum list TBH.
