Just how sexy is that Black and Orange X-Wing?

By Darkcloak, in X-Wing

Seriously. In that pic of Poe and Gonk. The X-Wing. Look at it! See it! Be. Amazed.

If that X-Wing were a celebrity which one would it be and would you sleep with it if it gave you a million dollars and had a voice like Burt Reynolds?

My answer. Yes. 42.

This thread is so random. And I have no idea what picture you're talking about.

I like X-Wings and I like the movies, but I think you may be confused on what the definition of sexy is. ;)

Do not like. Color scheme selected, apparently, by a six year old.

I dunno how to Internet's so no pics or links. But take a look at the pic in the thread titled Dengar Box Art Released. There is a pic in there of Poe standing in front of a drop dead gorgeous X-Wing painted in carbon black and pale orange.

And it is the very definition of sexy. So there.

The phrase "I dunno how to Internet's" is very troll-y.

Black and orange (or yellow) is a excellent colour scheme.

Also, can't be chosen by a six year old, as the recommended age is 7-12. :P

No seriously. You're lucky I got the quotes to work.

I'm just excited about Star Wars guys I'm sorry. I saw the X-Wing and kind of lost my shirt. Probably gonna buy an X-Wing just so I can replicate this scheme once I see it in the film.

Plus Poe looks pretty rugged too. The girls ought to like him. ;)

Hey! I had that ship when I was young!... younger I mean... younger!

That looks like it could be a Minmatar ship.

"All hail Blacktron!"

Sadly that stuff came up when I was about to leave Lego. Ah, well, those were the days...!

Lego was so much fun. I had a snowspeeder kit when I was a kid. I loved that thing. In a good way. A wholesome way. Definitely not the way I feel about that B&O X-wiiiiiiiiiiing! That is surely unwholesome and strange.

This is the kind of post that makes me feel old. The first Lego Star Wars kits came out the year I got my Bachelor's Degree.

On the other hand, I do remember those old Blacktron sets. They were awesome back when I was a kid! Of course, I'm also old enough to remember the original Lego Space "Space Shuttle" that was basically a couple of wings with a tail, some multi-directional thrusters and two steering wheels (no enclosed cockpit, even!) When I was really young, I loved that thing, even though it's really kind of lame compared to the kind of sets one can get these days....

What shot is this?

Back in the days when Lego had an imagination of its own. Now they just do nothing but make corporate studio licensed products.

These were my favorite Legos as a kid! (Who am I kidding, they're still my favorite…)

Bionics! Or Bioclicks?

Dang...

Remember the Space Station set? That one was... Unbelievable. :o

Agreed. And the engineering/design isn't what it used to be. So often it seems like the designers were more focused on using up a quota for a given brick type. Some of those late 80s and early 90s sets were just....elegant, in terms of design.

At least we have X-Wing minis, eh?

So, you're saying a 6 year old picked the team colors for the San Francisco Giants? And, as a fan of those same Giants, I heartily approve of my team's colors being represented in the new Star Wars film.

Bang and Olufsen jumped on the Star Wars bandwagon?

The old kits used standard pieces to make something with. The new ones all seem to have dozens of custom molded pieces. It doesn't seem as cool to me.

How awesome is that black and orange X-wing, you ask?

That awesome!

Budgernaut...

Teach me the ways of the Force! I want to fight the Empire!

I always thought the Bohrok were cooler though.
