Poe Tac-Ion B Z

By NoDownBooOver, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Here's a list I've been running at a couple recent tournaments. I've gone 3-6 so far, and I think that has more to do with my flying than the list itself, but I'd love some feedback and suggested tweaks or ways to fly it better.

Poe - R2-D2, VI, Autothrusters (38)

Blue Squadron Pilot - Ion Cannon, B-wing/E2, Tactician (28)

Blue Squadron Pilot (22)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

I usually deploy everyone but Poe in the corner and keep the Tac-Ion B-wing in back to maintain Tactician range. I get the Z out in front to block (this usually works unless my opponent does something totally off the wall during the joust). Poe flanks and does his usually Poe thing. I think this list has potential, but maybe needs a little tweaking. What do you think?

Putting the tactician AND the ion cannon on the same b-wing just begs your opponent to kill it first. Might as well put ion cannon on one b-wing and tactician on the other. Why make it easy on your opponent to select their targets? ;)

I played a 110 point tournament on Wednesday in which I used Poe, two B-Wings and a TLT Y-Wing. I just loved the combo of Poe (I did PTL, BB-8 and Autothrusters on him) with B-Wings. They were powerful enough that people didn't ignore them which let me do some fun stuff with Poe.

I agree with blade_mercurial said. Splitting up the Ion Cannon with the Tactician seems like a good idea.

When I ran mine I had FCS on one and Intelligence Agent on the other. You could skip the Ion Cannon, go Advanced Sensors on one and Intelligence Agent on the other. So, instead of Ion/stress you could go maneuverability and have one point left over to get a Tala in place of your bandit. Disclaimer: I'm very new and I don't know if that's good advice or not.
