I didn't see a way of getting a ship icon and was wondering if there was a place to do it. I love my Wookie, but would love a ship more

Also interested. A spider is appropriate, but I haven't seen any option to choose a X-Wing avatar.

The appear to have removed them. Those that still have them can't change them, or we will lose the ships as well.

Yeah, bit of a mystery why they chose to remove the avatars. I'm definitely hanging on to my X-wing.

That may be, but we had them for quite some time after Disney bought the license. In fact they were removed shortly after Imperial Assault came out IIRC.

I only vaguely remember the timing, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see anything removed on the day that Disney made the purchase - or even in the weeks immediately following the purchase. It could take time for that to trickle down. Not saying that is what happened, just saying, that timing may not necessarily be indicative one way or the other.

At this point, its anyone's guess whether they will be coming back or new icons will show up... I won't be surprised one way or the other (though I am hoping for the return of X-Wing specific icons, obviously)

I thought someone said they contacted FFG and they said it was a bug. IDK though, and they've been down a while so I doubt they will be back up anytime soon.
