It's Friday eve for some and day for others. I hope everyone is excellent to each other, wave 2 will be here before we know it and turkey day is in 2 weeks for us Americans super exciting.
As a wave 2 precursor what ships are we excited about, any thoughts change since announcement of 2?
Was excited about the MC80. Now I am stoked for the MC30.
And for 2 MC80s in a single list.

Toying with having a naked one in a Reikaan fleet to just slash right out of the starting gate.
Those MC30s are nasty buggers. Best i've seen them used is like a heavy corvette. Staying out of medium range and pinging away protected by Mothma until its time to slash in for a heavy 1-2 punch. I'm most excited by the MC80 just because thats the only Wave 2 **** I don't have at least 1 of. I just got my second raider and can't wait to run an ISD/2x raider/squadron list

They're roughly analogous, yes. At least the torpedo version. A little more glassy, a little more cannony: it can't stand up to sustained fire at less than long range, but hits fairly substantially harder than the Glad. I think they did a fantastic job fitting a heavy hitter into the Rebels' overall hit-and-run feel.
You can also use the MC30 scout as an interesting supplement to a Conga line build. Hits/survives reasonably well at range, but also has DEM BLACKS for deterrence against... well, Torpedo Shrimp and Glads.
The mc30c is also the thing I'm looking forward to the most as well as various Ackbar shenanigans.
An mc30c Torp with enhanced armaments becomes a speed 4, ISD-I broadside slasher if squid-boy is present. Yay.
The MC30 I got at Sullust is now Mothma's new flagship. Between Foresight, Electronic Countermeasures & Mon Mothma herself, that ship is hard to kill.
