7 weeks "On the boat"

By Hastatior, in Star Wars: Armada

And all FFG has said in forever is "soon"?

Is it a customs issue? Did the ship break down? Lose the container?

How soon is soon?

We should start a pool: everyone comment when they think

1. When it will switch to "Shipping"

2. When we will actually see them in stores (to the nearest week)

Winner gets bragging rights.

11/20

It's rumored that the products got burned in China in that huge fire a while back. Not sure how accurate it is, but at least it's one explanation.

7 weeks is normal. Some RPG books just spent 12.

6-8 weeks is the time frame so not at panic stage yet.

So the process is from boat to warehouse is 7-10 days, then to retailers/store is another 3-5.

If it was off the boat today I would say next week Friday but we are looking at last week in nov prop.

Boy, I hope it's soon. I'm not panicking or anything, actually enjoying playing more x-wing right now because there's some small casual tournaments locally.

But dammnit, I just want to play with these new ships already.

I just want one Firespray to paint :(

Every X-Wing product but one has taken 7-9 weeks from when it was marked as On the Boat until it hits stores. The only exception was ironically enough the Transport.

I fully expect that Wave 2 will be in stores next week. But black friday isn't far away, so it may be delayed...

I'll let you paint all my squadrons :-P

I already paint them on Commission. I just did the Imperial Side of 2xCore and 2xSquadron for a client just a few weeks ago, and posted 'em in my Quick Fleet thread... Took about 5 hours.

On my "product page", the Gladiator, Imperial and Rebel Fighter expansions all appear as "on the boat". So, you know, don't worry.

Send 'em to me I'll do 'em.

But I would warn you ahead of time, Australia Post, is quite well know for not delivering parcels that they never get.

68 weeks!!

I now have the idea stuck in my head that we need an FFG crossover with Barenaked Ladies - One Week.

It's been, seven weeks since it hit the boat.

Have a brother in the shipping business, 6-8 weeks sounds entirely reasonable when you consider that it includes ground transportation time in both the source and destination countries.

I remember stating something to the effect that the shipping delays could have been related to the factory explosion in Tianjin. Tianjin is one of many major industrial production cities, and China likes to consolidate all industrial use into these designated areas. Tianjin also has it's own major port and many large businesses have their goods produced there. Transportation routes to the port were closed due to damage and many businesses had to have their goods rerouted to other ports throughout the country, which would have created a substantial backlog. The port itself may have been closed due to damage or the inability to transport workers to or from there. Numerous production facilities and warehouses near the source of the explosion (which was tremendously powerful) were destroyed or heavily damaged, and housing units for almost a mile in all directions were also heavily damaged. If production of the models or related items (printing, packaging, etc.) were being done, or if the products were intended to ship through the Tianjin port and had to be rerouted to ports with higher priority shipping traffic, that could easily explain the delay.

$20 for a single Firespray?

And here you are trying to make me feel bad about my "Lowest Common Denominator" comment the other day... :P

I tried, I got no answer, so I then rerouted the cash to my personal lunch fund. I ate for most of a week instead..

I considered it, at the time, a legitimate expense - because if I could get one, get it painted in the requested scheme, add the conversion details, I was set to make $30 off it as a commission... But nothing came :)

Jeez dude, I'll paint those cool little ships for a lot less than twenty bucks a ship!:)

I do Imp Squadrons for 5, and Rebels for 8, as they have more colours generally.

This was a conversion + paint as well... Hence the special price he was willing to pay. But alas, 'tis divergent.

It would be really nice if FFG could give us some update about it, whether it be a delay or something.
