Tainted card rules, am I missing something?

By Neonice, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I everyone. Sorry if this was already explained somewhere, but I couldn't find a topic about this:

In the Mists of Bilehall expansion there are these 6 Tainted cards. On the official site it says that each player gets one of these Tainted cards face-down and once that player get knocked-out, he or she flips that card. Now, every card has a unique ability, which I understand. However, I don't understand the basic ability that these Tainted cards share. It says:

"You are tainted. While knocked out, you can only recover <heart> from untainted heroes or heroic feats."

Does that mean you can't perform a standup action (because you just got tainted)? That seems strong, so which ruling am I missing here?

//Edit: I just read that you can revive other players :D Lol. I ,as overlord, never knew that. So it all makes some more sense.

Tainted cards do a few things.

-Regardless of flipped up or down, it gives the hero +2 health.

The card gets flipped if the hero gets defeated. Once flipped, the hero is tainted. This adds two things:

-An ability unique to the specific card

-The common ability of being tainted- you cannot recover wound from the ability of a tainted hero (including yourself, so no stand up) UNLESS it is a heroic feat.

If the whole party gets tainted in a quest, it seems without heroic feats that heal heroes a KO hero will be KO for the rest of the encounter, at least. Not sure yet when tainted cards would be flipped back down.
