So whats the problem FFG to give us, the loyal fans a digital version of the galaxy map?

What I would love is a high def. interractive map where I can enter the name of a system and the program finds it for me, or at least gives me coordinates. With known info on planets / systems, and all. If the program could calculate hyperspace route and time between X and Y, taking hyperdrive class in account, that would be great too. Throw in some randomizer for failed astrogation while we're at it. And since one can dream, add a random celestial phenomenon / hazard on top.
This would truly be a thing of beauty!

The same thing as the years before. The map most likely doesn't belong to FFG in the first place, but is used by them (and modified for a given sourcebook) and since it is in a paid for book, giving away a digital version would probably be a violation of the license they signed with LA.
As there doesn't really seem to be a requirement for another CRB/line at the mo, what FFG could do is another box. But instead of a beginner box for a particular line, they could be brave and do a potential cross-over boxed adventure between all three SW lines with reasons for rogues/rebels/force users to be involved. They could include lots of lovely maps... including a large folded map of the galaxy!
Just a thought.
We want the map in English btw!
You mean Basic!
TBH I agree, a map would be nice..BUT... I think we're all wasting our time starting or replyling to threads about it (and here I am replying to a thread about it LOL) *sighs* *facepalm*
***Sarcasm Alert***
It's probably not as simple as it seems to us lesser mortals, who part with our hard earned cash (some in dead end jobs, maybe) to support a bunch of people, working in a job/career that most of us can only dream about, rolling dice, playtesting new rules, or writing for shiggles, for various rpg's, boardgames, card games, miniatures games...
A decent poster map would be good customer support.
Surely FFG can do that? Maybe?... Huh???
Edited by DidntFallAsleep66If I were FFG I would release the map on drivethrurpg for 5$ or whatever and everyone were happy.
Very valid point bradknowles.
However, if the map was made freely available, it surely would come under the same umbrella?
The DiceApp.... is certainly a game aid... its useless for anything unless you own the RPG or Xwing/Armada(?)
The Dice app actually is useful for any game using dice because in addition to the four sets of Star Wars Dice (RPG, X-Wing, Armada, Imperial Assault), it also has a complete set of polyhedrals.
