Why not? It would help a little.
Why can't Integrated Astromech be E-Wing also?
Because it would make Corran better. It's not really the kind of help the E-wing needs anyway.
Because of Corran. And to differentiate the E-wing from the X-wings. I'm sure they will find a fun way to fix the other E-wings in a way that keeps them unique from the X-wings when the time comes.

Because lore. They specifically gave the astromech an armored cockpit to PREVENT astromech's from taking starfighter hits.
Instead, I suspect the Ewing Fix will be based on the Ewing Series 1, which was notorius for it's faulty wing lasers. A buffed based on losing attack power would counter Corran's ascendancy.
Edited by RakaydosAren't you complaining about Corran now?
Just for lulz, because the card says "X-Wing Only".

Would it really make him that much better? He gains a hull point, but it'll come at the expense of his usual Engine Upgrade slot. That'll make it easier to get him in arc.

It'd help a lot of the less expensive Corran builds. It's not really the level/kind of help the generics need, either.

Yes. Because if Corran is down that far enough, there is a good chance an extra turn of Corran is going drastically shift the game.
Corran might already be too good. This would not be okay.

It would also take one of Corran's only real weaknesses (direct damage to hull cards) and basically shut them down.
Well it would be nice if an astromech buff would help all ships that can use astromechs but there would be a problem gamewise though.
Corran is included in a very good list atm so buff him wouldn't be good for balance, however the generic E-wings was both overcosted and the second generic really misses an etp slot when compared to later waves.
Generic Y-wings for both rebels and scum are also in a very could list if you slap tlt on them, however you don't see to many named Y-wings.
That's the problem with the balancing in X-wing, it's hard to buff one part of a ship while nerfing others with a generic buff. This at least gives some help to the t-65 X-wing but at this point there "fixes" are just patching holes. The ship is still leaking

So you'd have something other than PWT/SWT to complain about.
Targetting astromech is almost here to fix your generic E's!
would be okay if we ban corran...
2 birds - 1 stone - (0 corrans
)
The answer would be an astromech that boosts the generics but not Corran.
I disagree it makes Curran better.
He has to give up EU just to take it losing a lot of maneuverability, and if he uses it he had to give up R2-D2.
He will only ever get to use it if it's a kill shot that's stopped and he stops regenerating if he does.
People run him without EU all the time. 44-point Corran is completely viable as-is. Giving him a free "ignore the card that would have killed me" would make him better. How could it not?
Because it would make Corran better. It's not really the kind of help the E-wing needs anyway.
In the grand scheme it should be a very small boost to all the Ewing pilots. Although I doubt it would make any of them any more popular. They still suffer from the to high cost for to low durability issue.
You do realize it also makes Poe better....Because it would make Corran better. It's not really the kind of help the E-wing needs anyway.
It really doesn't. Mostly because you can't take two mods and, as good as IA is, a certain 2-point modification that Poe can take in its place is so much better it isn't funny.
Edited by DR4COBecause the e-wing is SO ugly, no astromech wants to "integrate" with it.
Corran surviving that one shot is gamebreaking, since it nets him up to two shots. That is a ship that really doesn't deserve a buff on the defensive side. It needs a good agressive astromech, so Corran doesn't want it, since he wants R2-D2.

Yeah, Autothrusters is a must on Poe.
Same answers I got when I posted this weeks ago. I do understand it would be good on corran, but he is giving up engine. So I don't think it would be that bad.
But I assume FFG will be working on fixing the Generics some way.
Let's hope!
