Ackbar + Fire Lanes

By Artifixprime, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Do you count additional dice from Ackbar towards the total for Fire Lanes?

We have played this as NO based on this sentence from the card:

" The player with the highest total number of dice in his combined attack pool controls that token "

The reasoning being that the attack pool represents the basic firepower of a ship and not any additional dice that Ackbar might add.

Also, Ackbar's ability specifically mentions "...when attacking a ship". Should this rule out counting towards firepower for the mission?

Like you pointed out, Ackbar only applies when attacking a ship. Fire lane objective tokens are not ships.

Also, from the FAQ:

Fire Lanes
If only a portion of a hull zone’s armament
is at attack range of an objective token,
only that portion is added to the sum.
A hull zone can add only its current
battery armament to the sum, including
increases and decreases due to cards like
“Enhanced Armament.” Do not include
dice granted after an attack would be
rolled, such as from the Concentrate Fire
command or the “Dominator” title.

I'm an idiot.

not sure where to report this but we went ahead and played tonight. I lost 1 AF and my squads, he only had 1 Glad left and some squads left. Final score:

312 points for me

152 for him

so s/b an 8-2 win.

I don't know where you are supposed to report, either... But I'm pretty sure its not in an Ackbar + Fire Lanes thread in the Rules Questions that's been Untouched since November last year.... >.>
