I already own 2 sets of these guys, what's another 2? I want to try this out on Vassal and see if the hoard of Hired guns can make the cut. Possible revamp is 2 Elite Nexus and a Elite Hired gun instead of Trando Hunters and Upgrades. Thoughts?

Big problem : you only have 3 figures (tran + nexu) who can deal some damage. The rest is support or fodder.

Yeah, too much support/fodder - this list has no real 'teeth'. How about:

Boba Fett 13

Trandoshan 7 (or Temporary Alliance (1), C3PO (2), Gideon (3), Explosive Armaments(1))

Hired Guns 4

Hired Guns 4

Hired Guns 4

Hired Guns 4

Last Resort 1

Last Resort 1

So you've got a really powerful activation in Boba Fett, either mid range unit in the Trandoshans, or two support units in Threepio and Gideon and then you've got 4 really annoying units of fodder in the Hireds Guns + Last Resort. You've either got 6 or 7 activations too.

I think that's what it was. It looked super fun, but I think he went 2/5 with it.

I was running two groups of hired guns in my list. They were... ok.

Sometimes they were very useful, other times they felt like a waste of points.

I honestly feel after playing 12 games with hired guns in one weekend that they're overcosted by 1 point. 9 times out of 10 they'll die in one shot. And parting shot does maybe 1-2 damage on average from what I saw. And force help you if you try to shoot at someone farther than 2 range.

I played the Gentleman who was running the above list in the first round...it was a bit daunting when you first looked at all the figures on the board, especially when they were almost always going to deal at least 1 damage with their pierce.

We met in round 2 (Most Dangerous Game). It was one of the most outrageous skirmishes I have ever played. I had Boba Fett, Elite Trandoshan Hunter, Trandoshan Hunter, Hired Guns, R2-D2, and C-3PO.

The Parting Shot chains were hilarious, but this was the best part:

I was leading 31-20. Both Bobas were reasonably healthy, I had my elite Trandoshans (both had taken some damage), and my opponent had one pair of Hired Guns. If his Fett kills my Hunters, he wins (20 points with the Bounty Hunter mission bonus). If my Fett kills his Hired Guns, I win (10 points with the mission bonus). I used my first Trandoshan to kill a Hired Gun. The other hunter shot at Fett, I think, so that my Fett could finish the group on my next activation. My opponent used his remaining hired gun next to close some distance and attack one of my hunters. I think my guys were at 2 and 4 hp remaining.

My Fett jetpacked into the fray and blew away the last Hired Gun. The Rodian dropped his thermal detonator to kill my weaker Trandoshan, then rolled 4 damage on his Parting shot attack roll. The Elite Hunter rolled an evade. Dead. "Cute trick," I thought, "but that still takes me to 41 points." Then "Of No Importance" hit the table.

Epic. I would be reliving that skirmish in my head for weeks rethinking 'what-if's' and 'maybes'. Those frustratingly heartbreaking turns of events are what make this game so interesting and replayable IMO.

I ended up winning on the end-of-round conditions, but it was still the most ridiculously crazy round of Skirmish that I have ever played.

So last resort only triggers for one figure in any given group, correct? Because you have to 'deplete' the card.

So do people generally 'mix up' their Hired Guns and have A with B and B with A for instance?

I'm guessing I know the answer, but I didn't hey to watch any of the tournament on twitch. You didn't happen to be the streamed match that round, did you?

I don't think they streamed any of the preliminary rounds because the Netrunner tournament was happening at the same time.

I'm pretty sure I played you in the Data Core scenario. I had Vader and elite stormtroopers. That list was impressive and inspiring. So much Strain!

My loss was mitigated by delicious hamburgers later though.

Yeah, those Scatterguns love that hallway. And the burgers were delicious.
