I have not run triple e-wing, but I've used 2 blackmoons with FCS + R7. Its quite good actually. Surprisingly durable and can still put out decent damage.

I would suggest making room for the R7+ FCS combo. Its strong because FCS means you can take a different action and still have the TL for defense after you shoot (it works best against lower PS, but even against higher PS it still works in the following turn---you just have to choose whether to use the TL for offense or defense, instead of being able to use it for both).

So I would suggest either running all 3 e-wings as blackmoons with FCS + R7, or drop the two you have in your current list down to knaves (not ideal since PS 1).

Triple:

Knave, FCS, R2, Hull Upgrade.

Now you've got a less stress fearing squad of Defenders, with built in Target Locks.

You've got the PS of a toddler, but still.

The R7 + FCS combo makes you more durable. Try it. Its so good, I'm surprised more people don't talk about it. But I assume most people wrote off the generic e-wings long ago without giving them any real chance...

I should mention it works best against lower number squads, like 2 or 3 ship builds, but even against 4+ ship builds its still effective as long as you can keep your opponent from focus firing.

To get the most out of it, you only spend the TL defensively when your opponent rolls 3+ hits (include eyes in that re-roll if he has a focus token). That is of course also assuming you have a token for defense (because your 3 green dice with token 'usually' stop 2 damage). If you have no defensive tokens, then re-roll 2+ hits. Dice willing, that one shot does nothing (occasionally the dice betray you of course, but such is life).

I came up with this Build, however i havent tested it yet.

Makes a decent first strike with Plasma Torps and allows for easier repositioning through FAA and decent damage output through FCS.
