Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rules for moving through blue spaces means it just costs 2 to move into. Do you have to cross a blue line for that penalty to apply?

Just wondering because it makes sense that there'd be a penalty for moving into or out of a trench, but not moving within the trench itself.

If that snowtrooper in the trench moved down one space, does that cost 1 movement or 2?

It costs 2 movement points every time you enter a square that is difficult terrain. The terrain of the space you're exiting is irrelevant.

That's what I figured. It just didn't make sense to me that once you're in a trench, moving along it would still be difficult.

Moving through a trench isn't nearly as easy as moving over open ground.

I would've liked a new terrain type where defense or required range is added, but the game is still young.
