State of the game, can´t we get it too?

By diaper, in Battlelore

Just read this "State of the game" announcement for Tannhäuser:

I think this is a great way to communicate with the fans of a game and it makes me wish we would get these kinds of updates for Battlelore.

There seems to be a numer of issues that could be adressed, such as the fate of the lore- and creature compendiums, if there will ever be an online adventure editor, are there armyboxex coming, will there ever be race-specific call to arms decks etc, etc, etc...

Or if there are any changes planned to the game in the upcoming reprint

Tannhäuser is a recent acquisition for FFG. A "State of the Game" was necessary. No one was sure if or how it would be supported. The same cannot be said for Battlelore.

With the build up to release of Heroes and the announcement of Creatures and Dragons, FFG has put out lots of information recently. While I would turn away more info, I am pleased with what they have done with Battlelore and don't want to know all the secrets they have in store.

Did anyone say that?

Neither do i.

But, as I said in my original post, I think a "State of the Game" is a really great way to communicate with fans of a game. Doesn´t really matter if the game is a new property or not, or if the communication is strictly speaking necessary or not (and who is the judge of that?).

It just seems like a great way for the company to tell the fans of a game a little bit about what is happening without making any promises or anouncements.

And even though I too am happy that we have gotten a lot of info about some upcoming releases I think there are still some questions that would be well suited for "State of the Game" kind of updates.
