Critical Damage list

I'm working on a Rebel list that piles on the critical hits to hamper my opponents large ships with high hull values. Currently this is what I came up with

Etahn A'baht, Plasma Torpedoes, PTL, R2F2 & Stealth Device. 44 points

2x Blue Squadron B-Wings, Fire Control System, Mangler Cannon. 28 points each

Total 100

So Plasma torps to reduce shields quicker, Mangler cannons and Etahn upgrade at least one hit to a crit every time (two crits from the manglers if etahn's ability is in range) and R2F2 + Stealth to give Etahn 5 agility dice + evade token from PTL to keep him alive long enough to have an impact. Going for fun but wouldn't mind be competative enough to win a few!

Thoughts?

Giving Etahn R2-D2 is going to do more for him staying around than R2-F2. Stealth Device might not be the best idea, but it can work. Cut either the torps or SD for R2-D2. If you cut the torps consider replacing them with Flechette Torpedoes to bring you back to 100 points and to give you some stress controll element.

If you want to get crits through, try Ten Numb with a Mangler... You'd have to run them trimmed down to get Etahn, Ten and the third ship though.

Something like this:

Etahn, PtL, R2D2

Ten, Mangler

Blue, Mangler

Probably not great, but it'll churn out crits...

Thanks for the ideas guys. I know Stealth Device has a bad rep and is almost a waste of points after the first hit, but I love being able to use five defense dice, six at long range!

I have tried Ten Numb + Mangler in the past, yes his ability is good to cause a crit, especially with Etahn kicking it up to two crits but as you say its not great because its very expensive and not much can go in there to help keep them alive long enough to do serious damage.

Time to playtest some alternatives!
