Looks like I'm out. Keep it going.
Game Day Thread - Day 2 Rounds 4 & 5
Hmmm...close. Demo should die, but that objective is a problem.
oh boy, pls exchange those commentators. sorry, repeating myself.
Noooo! Someone take over, please!
Demolisher destroyed by A wings

Not as bad as the ones from the pod race.
Should be easy now.
GAAAAAA!!!!!!
Why did he pull the A-wings out! You know how much pilot pensions COST!!!!
What's happening?
I believe they played all six turns, so game over.
so its over. 2 glads and the rebel flagship vette destroyed. a few more pts from outpost to Imps, but, what is it, 6:4 for Rebel I guess.
About as expected then. GSDs too aggressive in a super fragile list. Well done Rebs!
GSD heads in, dies to A-wings
GSD #2 heads in, kills CR90, dies to A-Wings
VSD has outpost, AFKIIs shooting at to OK, but not good enough effect.
A-wings pulled out to rob Empire of the 11 points per
VSD survives on outpost, game ends 189-164.
A-wings would have shreded VSD, should have been sacrafised to do so. Pilot survival does not me consern.
Edited by GronardIIThat was way closer on points than it sounded.
I agree with Gronard, but from what the commentators were saying there may have been larger tournament-level considerations that we weren't privy to, so... Eh...
Still pretty sure he could've at least gotten close on that Vic if he'd tried...
It was close on points cause the Vic camped out on the outpost unopposed for the last three turns.
VSD is worth more points than all A-wings combined. Plus VSD was still sitting on the Outpost. May have been better off continuing to shoot with A-wings.
Though I'm not sure if he had the time to completely take out the VSD. He probably would have needed 2 rounds to do it. He may have only had 1 round of shooting with A-wings left at that point.
Smart tbh, it was never going to win that fight after the GSDs got killed piecemeal.
I don't know ow how I feel about this. . . I would have been a little more aggressive towards the end. . .
We're any A-wings hurt? The score was so close he may not have wanted to risk losing any. Or, as was suggested, it was strategic based on tournament standings.
The Empire protected the outpost from Rebel aggression for most of the game. (about 5 turns for 100 points)
As for tournoment considerations, sympathy* for the enemy is treason!**
* Point shaving
** Against the rules in just about any game/leage/tounoment I have ever heard of. If the commentators think this is the case, they should report the Rebel player.

Yes, at least one had taken 2 damage from anti-squadron fire. Some others had taken 1 damage each. But none were really in danger yet.

Not point shaving, just pointing out the possibility that, say, 6-4 would put him in striking distance of top table but the possibility of dropping down to 5-5 wouldn't, or something like that. Something making it a bigger loss for him to lose a single A-wing, however unlikely, than game points alone would indicate.
The VSD had 4 damage cards on it, could have easily been killed my the A-Wings.
Oh wow, did it really? Yeah, poor decision at the end then for the Rebel, that probably ended up costing him a 10-0.
