Paul and the top 8's experience and skill = priceless... so I guess 40k pricing is beat on that note.
Exactly, because Paul obviously only won 3 Worlds because he spent so much money on the game... NOT!

Don't forget the K-Wing for the TLTs!
TLTs come in 2 per pack. So for 3 K-wings you have more than enough TLTs. It looks like the OP did price 1 K-wing pack per 2 TLTs.
That was an answer to this post:
Paul needed both core sets, most wanted, the transport, a Falcon/Firespray and a Starviper, all relatively expensive expansions, only for a single card each!
Didn't make that clear enough. Might also have missunderstood the post, since he needed the K-Wing for two cards.
and this thread just made it on a (hobby tabletop)news website article. Talk about games media and you thought videogames press had all the spin.
Star Wars: Is X-Wing Pay-to-Win?
Edited by MarinealverGiven the recent interest in costs, I thought I'd calculate the cost for the four lowest scoring squads (based on Swiss rank) from Worlds 2015 for which we have data.
Rank 257: $179.60
Rank 258: $224.60
Rank 261: $159.75
Rank 263: $249.55
Infer what you will from this information.
Edited by BudgernautFYI the squads are all correct out to at least the Top 32. OP mentioned he was waiting on a corrected Top 16 entry before filling them all out. (The error was on my end adding point totals up incorrectly; the squad list was correct.)
