Game Day Thread - Worlds Round 3 Starting

By BiggsIRL, in Star Wars: Armada

CR90 scores another rear hit, 30-30.

And another with the final activation of turn 4 - 45-30 in favor of the CR90s.

Not sure anything is in danger of being destroyed, though there are a few GSDs with shots to start the turn.

Mon Mothma is in minor danger, and going fast.

A few CR90s have their rear arc showing, but they are almost all behind the Imperials, so it'll be a race for Victory Tokens.

We are a stately game.

There's a Cr90 trailing the entire Imp fleet that could put this to a 6-4 or even 7-3 just on those victory tokens if nothing pops.

Decisions being made about the Imperial's first activation. Lots of okay options, but no obvious best one.

VSD ties it up with a shot from DOWN TOWN! 45-45

Lol. This Is awesome.

Aaaand Mon Mothma has run away from danger.

Wave 4 stealth spoiled in the FFG stream. Bad jokes as well.

Victory Token get by CR90! 60-45!

Reb player looks to be running for it at this point, it's all down to that trailing CR90 to rack up VPs.

FINAL ROUND! Not many chances left to grab victory tokens.

Is it me or are they playing slower than snails? Jesus, it's like watching golfers take WAAAAAAY too long to play a hole.

Double arc on rears - 2 Victory Tokens for the CR90.

Shot on Mon Mothma brings it to 90-60

That'll probably wrap it up. CR90 player - Julian Hervath wins in a nail bitter - 90-60.

Yep, that's it. A slow cerebral, but ultimately minor 30 point MOV win by the CR90 player.

Thank you for indulging in the Biggs isolation thread.

That was almost painful to watch. Mind-blowing maneuvering though on the reb's part!

Thanks dude!!!. On to the next one! Hopefully ships blow up?

...unless...there are no more games!!!!!!

Nooooooooooooooooo

2 more streamed games tomorrow. I will try to game-day thread them, but I might not be able to as I will be... at work.

Like I am now.

I did not expect that CR90 to live till I saw the obstruction

That was a very interesting game to watch... Julian was very aggressive, and both his maneouver and his ability to pick obstacles and dice to reroll with MonMothma was right on...

Dustin did a fantastic job of playing Julian's game, and in doing so, kept it at 90-60, rather than the blowout it could have been.

But yeah, one hit/crit being rerolled differently, or hell, any of the black dice rolling natural hit/crit, and it'd be a different game.
