This is why I don't like Imperial Assault in a competitive environment. The meta is totally screwed up, forcing people to buy multiple core sets just to stand a chance. It has so many build possibilities that would be FUN to play, but you can't win with a FUN build. It's silly really. I just want to play it for fun, but unless you are at a tournament, almost nobody plays it around here. Shame. I do love the game, just wish people would play it for fun.

I really want to try the skirmish, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The campaign is fun though. And I'm using it to gain some painting skills, that also allows me to buy the expansions even if we don't get around to playing with them. .
