Crackshot - When to use?

Assume you are running A-Wings with Crackshot - You get a range 1 shot, roll 3 hits - your opponent rolls 3 evades - DO YOU USE CRACKSHOT?

Do you save it for a crit when shields are down? Will you be dead by then? How tragic would it be to die with an unspent crackshot - knowing you HAD a chance to at least remove a shield.

I'd say use it if it means you can force damage through.

Damage > No Damage. Especially if the target is a Stealth Deviced Soontir Fel.

I'd go with it then.

-No sense dying with it because you never found the perfect moment.

-The sooner you kill something, the sooner things get easier for your squad. Damage done now is worth more than damage done later.

I fly Vader with Prockets and Crackshot. I USUALLY save it for one of two cases:

1) normal attacking getting 1 or 2 Crits through on a high value target (Horn, Dash, Fel, whisper ect.)

or

2) the Kill shot. if theyre at 2 hull and i roll 2 hits and a crit (from ATC) and they roll 2 evades. ill use it. because i want to assure they dont get to fire. unfortunately wouldnt be allowed to wait to see the critical damage card, but assurance is good enough for me.

Crack Shot first shot dice allow, unless you're high PS in the right spot.

Black/Green? Always first available shot.

Kill a dude? Crackshot

Gonna lose a dude? Crackshot

Eat into the hull? Crackshot

Push a crit through? Crackshot

Bopping stealth device? Crackshot

Can do any damage on a high PS, low health arcdodger with no regen? Crackshot

This. Use it whenever you can. Its only 1 point, which is worth that if you can damage an opponent.

maybe on a fully kitted ace I'd wait, depends on the stuff I'm carrying, the situation itself, my opponent..

on a generic tie, awing or whatnot I use it THE FIRST chance it makes a difference.

1 damage is 1 damage is 1 damage. the moment my generic is killed without using it, I'll curse myself for days (or at least the next minutes ;)), and I don't like to be cursed and blamed, not even by me :D

I think the only time I WOULDN'T use it is if was a regenerating target with no supporting fire.

The only reason I would wait would be if there was a Stealth Device I wanted gone, and I would likely be getting close range shots on it soon. Under any other circumstance I'll use it first chance I get, but if there's a Stealthy Interceptor I might hold off.

I use it to..

1. Guarantee a skill shot.

2. Rapidly put damage on a crucial target.

3. Push through a crit.

In that order typically.

If you're flying around in a 1 hull ship and you still haven't used it, you use it.
