It's N7 Day On Saturday...

Yes but dont' cut off your nose to spite your face. A 5 minute ending, which the developers defended - as is their right to do so should not entirely tarnish an entire series.

I logged on the Xbox360 and got my old ME3 Co-op gang together to celebrate N7 day. It was a good time, and now I'm bit by the old ME3 multiplayer bug yet again. This has happened several times.

It is possibly my favorite multiplayer game of all time.

Absolutely. But then again, I'm an Indoctrination Theorist, so I'm perfectly happy with my interpretation of the endings. ;)

Me too. I'll go months without touching it, then put the disk in for a couple of games and bam, I'm hooked again. Cackling insanely as I melt Collectors with the N7 Destroyer's particle rifle, setting off chains of biotic explosions with the Asari Valkyrie or simply going into a melee frenzy with a Krogan Vanguard.

I must have put the most hours into this game of any multiplayer game, and I played a LOT of Modern Warfare 2.

Still think Left 4 Dead is the best co-op game I've played, though. Just for the sheer comedy factor.

Shepard.

Wrex.

Shepard.

Grunt.

Can we do this later? I'm in the middle of some calibrations.

Report to the ship. We'll bang, OK?

Oh, the Particle Rifle. I've been playing ME3 Multiplayer since launch; I have every single weapon in the game at X, except the Cerberus Harrier which is only at V and the Particle Rifle, which I don't have at all.

No Death-Star Juggernaut build for me. :(

Yeah, the N7 Ultra Rares are a PITA to max out. I think I've got most of them now, but nowhere near maxed any of them.

Might have to pop back on the Bioware boards at some point, just to check my profile and how many games played/hours played etc...

I could never put enough time into a game to level up stuff like that.

I've perfected the series without the multiplayer only because I don't have xblive at all, CURSE YOU MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!

Why curse Microsoft? Xbox Live is a fantastic product. it's been a staple in my household for 10 years...

I curse it for an evil cult of wizards that force people who so vividly enjoy games to PAY for multiplayer, ESPECIALLY when said multiplayer is almost required to beat the game.

Nah, multiplayer was absolutely not required to beat the game. I didn't touch it until I'd done two full single player playthroughs as my imported characters.

It was required to get certain endings, but that's all.

THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT IS TO GET THOSE PSEUDO-AMAZING ENDINGS AND MICROSOFT WANTS TO CHARGE YOU FOR ONLINE PLAY???

(Sorry had a bit of a rage attack)

Rage attack?

You know what?

MASS EFFECT 3'S ORIGINAL ENDINGS.

aaaaand GO!

I'd add that multiplayer was actually avoidable, with all this talk of companion apps ME3 had one, which allowed you to raise your multiplayer based control multiplier.

Not even that, actually.

Even before the releae of the Extended Cut and several other patches (which reduced the requirementrs from what they were originally), it was perfectly possible get the bwest possible ending without playing the multiplayer at all.

I managed thebest possible ending on my first playthrough. Of course, I imported a completioniust character from ME2, which had itself been imported from ME1, so I had an advantage in that respect.

Amusingly, I've played so much multiplayer that it's now actually impossible for me to get anything but the best possible endings...

Also - I actually prefer the pre-Extended Cut endings to Mass Effect 3. The Extended Cut was never originally part of Biuoware's plans for the game, and was rushed out as a knee-jerk reaction to the uproar caused by the original endings (unfortunately, it seems as though some players are simply incapable of thinking for themselves and simply must be spoon-fed every little detail).

The Shepard lives ending requires a total point level over 5000 which could not have been done without multiplayer/app. Also needed to choose red ending.

4000 effective military strength, actually - you just need to make sure the Illusive Man doesn't kill Anderson. Reduced to 3100 with the Extended Cut installed.

Both doable without requiring multiplayer.

The red ending is not the best ending of the bunch, honestly it is the worst of the 3 possible original endings due to the genocide of the Geth and almost downright murder of EDI, who which you may or may not have nurtured a relationship between her and Joker. IT IS NOT THE BEST ENDING BECAUSE SHEPARD LIVES PEOPLE, GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS YOU IMMORAL, HASTY AND SELFISH PEOPLE.

That's true. I prefer the "green" ending usually.

Not so much for EDI though.

Red ending = all biotics also die if you look hard enough.
