It's N7 Day On Saturday...

By FTS Gecko, in X-Wing Off-Topic

...I've given up hoping for Andromeda news, but I may well pop on to the Xbox 360 for some Any / Any / Gold. For old times sake.

In one weeks time we'll have backwards compatability.

So i'll have to find time to play through the entire trilogy again.

I'm still waiting for a solid reason to upgrade from my 360.

In the meantime, Firebase Dagger: Hazard, Collectors, Gold. ENEMIES EVERYWHERE! GO GO GO!

For me Halo 5 and battlefront. Those were my reasons.

Originally elite dangerous but....

I'll just out and say it. Grinding sucks , and all it is is grinding.

Welp, apparently there's going to be no Andromeda news tomorrow, just discounts in the Bioware store.

I miss the weekend challenges/events.

I loved that ME's multiplayer was all about co-op.

I'd love to see that mode fleshed out into larger maps and tighter knit fireteams.

Yeah, it was a welcome break from deathmatch games everywhere. The second most fun co-op experience I've had online (behind Left 4 Dead, which was just AMAZING).

Had some absolutely frantic and hilarious games, last-ditch full extractions or soloing an objective wave when things go horribly wrong. It was (is) an outstanding first effort at multiplayer from Bioware. And one of the best parts? All the DLC for multiplayer was FREE.

more people need to have xbox ones dammit, i want to put together an N7 squad for andromeda already!

Oh, you got another 18 - 24 months before you have to think about that, Darius!

Bleh.

Back to Halo5 then.

On Bioware's N7 Day page, it states outright "we have nothing new to show you for Andromeda".

To be honest, I'm not overly optimistic from what I've seen of Andromeda so far. It looks like a total shift away from the original trilogy. Potentially new characters, new timeline, new galaxy - it might as well be the difference between Halo and Destiny. I wonder if Bioware have underestimated how truly attached a large percentage of their players are to the characters and setting they created.

I'm fine with it. we have no idea how they get to this other galaxy, so previous characters are a possibility - if not, whole new galaxy to mess with. New Story, new characters... Look at inquisition, they can make huge great games.

Bioware can do it.

Then they can make a star wars game done just like ME3 set in the OT.

After me3 chances of me picking it up are low, it's a bargain bin purchase.

Why? ME3 was a solid game, and an amazing piece of the trilogy up until literally the last 5 minutes. Even then the multiplayer was solid.

That was a horrible choice for bioware you guys all better hope that they don't do it to Andromeda as well but over all that bullcrap the rest of the series will go well BTW I have not had the chance to see what Andromeda is all about so I ask what is the news on Andromeda

Someone invented sentence structure, it was huge.

It's less the 5 minutes than the truly insulting way they as a company responded, saying the outrage was because Shepard could be gay or because he died.

Instead of addressing the valid complaint that the ending was essentially a palate swap and didn't reflect in game choices as promised.

Someone invented sentence structure, it was huge.

Explain?

OK... so this was unexpected:

ME was .. nay, still is .. one of the greatest trilogies in gaming history (as far as I'm concerned). Co-op Multiplayer was great, story, characters, etc, wonderful. I'm excited to see where they go with it.

I'm happy with their release schedule. I need time to play Halo 5, COD, Fallout 4, Tomb Raider and a little indie game you guys probably haven't heard about ... Battlefront.

In other news, there's a fella I see on the train each day. The first day I caught the train I saw him wearing an N7 hoody, gave him a nod and said "Good game hey!?". To this day we give each other a nod when we see each other.

Should perhaps read as:

I try not to be a grammar nazi as I am far from perfect, but occasionally I do use grammar. In your post there was next to no structure, it was actually painful to read.

Not to mention XBONE Backwards compat, so i can play the ME games all over again! SQUEEE.

I agree that mass effect was one of the greatest trilogies in gaming history, except for the lat 5 minutes. Hobo, I think you are overreacting based on principle mate.

Golden opportunity to nod at him and say "Shepard." missed.

I saw a girl cosplaying a PERFECT Femshep at Halcon.

Makes me want to dress up as wrex just for that skit.

Principles are important if you don't stand for something you stand for nothing.
