Idea's for pilot cards of top worlds pilots...

By ldodt, in X-Wing

For a bit of fun why not make up some pilot cards of the people playing at worlds. With special pilot abilities that seem relevant to their play styles. Doesn't have to be serious just a bit of fun (and nothing harsh/mean). For example something like:

Pilot: Pau Lheaver (Paul Heaver)

Faction: Rebel

Ship: Z-95

Pilot Skill: 7 Points: 18

Ability: At the start of the activation phase you may choose an obstacle at range 1 and move it using the 1 straight movement template.

Upgrades: EPT, Missile, Modification

Ship Role and Justification: Asteroid dancer, Paul doesn't ignore asteroids they just seem to get out of his way and into the way of people he fly's against.

Cool idea - you'd need to Star Wars-ize the names a bit though.

Like Pau Lheaver, maybe.

Yeah your right!

Pilot: Wo Keupde'ad

Faction: Empire

Ship: Tie-Phantom

Pilot Skill: 0 Points: 21

Ability: At the start of the activation phase your opponent may choose an obstacle at range 1-2 and move it right in front of your ship.

Upgrades: EPT, the usual

Ship Role and Justification: Asteroid bumper, Andreas doesn't ignore asteroids they just seem to pop out of nowhere into his way, literally in the moment he think's "I'm so much in the lead now. No-one can stop us this time. - this one I'll win."

Pilot: Nay'thanide (Nathan Eide)

Faction: Rebel

Ship: A-wing

Pilot Skill: 7 Points: 23

Ability: After an enemy executes a maneuver, if it is touching you, remove one stress token.

Upgrades: EPT, Missile

Ship Role and Justification: Nathan is incredible with blocking, whether it's with a PS 1 Prototype Pilot or PS 9 Jake.

I like the idea but let's tweak a bit if you don't mind:

Pilot: Nay'thanide (Nathan Eide)

Faction: Rebel

Ship: A-wing

Pilot Skill: 0 Points: 20

Ability: Whenever your ship is overlapped by an enemy ship, assign one focus token.

Upgrades: Missile

Should be higher PS but his ability treats him as PS 0 during activation.

You know, it might make more sense to have any ship that overlaps him get a stress token, actually.

Should be higher PS but his ability treats him as PS 0 during activation.

I disagree- The point of these pilots is to mimick their namesakes, and Nathan is very good at blocking even with high ps ships. Also, it's an A-wing, so VI is always an option even after the near-mandatory ptl.

Like Pau Lheaver, maybe.

Haul Peaver :P
