Thank you! I think i'm gonna hold out for coolstuff though. 50 bucks is more than I'd like to spend.
I was actually REALLY looking forward to this release... on the big Star Wars Day sale.
When it never dropped and they never offered info, got a bit frustrated.
Now that this drops the DAY after the announcement of Star Wars: Rebellion, there's 0 chance I'll pick this up. I'll just wait for Rebellion, which looks better on every level (well, maybe not simplicity scale).
Too bad, if this had just come out when it was advertised (never officially dated, but all signs AND Twitter pointed to Force Friday), I'd have been ALL over it.
I own the regular version of the game. My boys love it (ages 6 and 9). I can't justify the additional cost for the molded pieces of the Death Star, Falcon, Vindicator and Stormtroopers. They look very nice, just can't bring myself to spend the extra money for those pieces.
Edited by BiffThanks for sharing. I know a 10 year old boy who loves Risk and Star Wars.
Something I've noticed with Amazon to bring down the price: put it on your wishlist or into your cart then "save for later" and wait. In a week (or several) you'll get some emails (if you have that turned on) telling you of price reductions. So, if you're patient, you can get a good individual deal on some things. Combined with Amazon Prime free shipping, it's usually the best deal around . . . usually. It could just be my imagination but the concept makes sense: adjust the price point on an individual basis as opposed to across the board in order to make sales.
The box art is pretty sweet. But yeah, Rebellion would be my choice instead of this.
This game is remarkably fun to play. Dont let the "Risk" title throw you off. For the price point of the regular version, it is a great game at a good price. Lots of tactical decisions stretched across a strategic plan make this very enjoyable. As an added plus, play time is about 30 min, vs an expected few hours for rebellion. I believe both would compliment a fan's game closet/shelf.
