Maybe the Force Awakens stuff is 8.0, and everything else is 8.1. They're looking to cash in on sweet, sweet movie hype, so those two got the priority.

Early October wave 8, Ghost especially, had not yet met with Licensor approval,there's no way they could get it produced in that short a time.
I really think they have the models painted they just need cards and cardboard. I can't see that taking a lot to make happen. Plus with ep 7 there is a good chance the ships will be ready for the Dec hype.
