Trying to make a list with what little I have.
Seems decent. I would use Stealth Device on Howlrunner instead of Hull Upgrade, but beyond that I don't see much that I would change.

Agree. I would also consider enhanced scopes instead of adv sensors. Then you guarantee you move first.

Guys, Enhanced Scopes are only good if you are on a pure mine build. if you want the Proton Bomb, keep Advanced Sensors. The Shield/Hull Upgrade on Deathrain has little use, 1 agility ships get overkilled anyways more often than not. Put that into the TIE Fighters to got to PS3 or drop Howlrunner for an additional Academy Pilot (if that works math wise, didn't calculate that).
I'd stick with Advanced Sensors, combining those with your Cluster Mines allows for some board control as your opponent has to avoid getting right in front of or behind you. Having a somewhat high pilot skill helps you decide when to Proton Bomb something, since the generics have already moved.
I have to slightly disagree with Admiral Deathrain, I'd rate three Academies with Howlrunner as better than five Academies. I will back him up on dropping the Hull Upgrade on Deathrain to make all your generics Obsidian Squadron, that could be useful against some lists.
Hull upgrade is better than stealth unless you can stack tokens to keep it from falling off. Howlrunner cannot unless she takes push the limit, so hull is better in its absence.
Advanced Sensors vs Enhanced Scopes on deathrain: adv sensors is more useful more often. In fact, there is no downside to advanced sensors, EXCEPT against PS 5 dropping a conner net on them means they will still have taken their action before they get hit (but they will still suffer the damage and the ion token). Now, since all of the scariest pilots in the game are PS6+, this is really a non-issue. Therefore there is no reason not to put advanced sensors on deathrain. Its better in so many ways. It means deathrain cannot really be blocked, and can always hit any ship with a mine or bomb and even when the mines/bombs are gone, you have the ability to get out of difficult situations and possibly dodge arcs. Whereas Enhanced scopes makes it HARDER to do those things.
How do you hit ships with mines when they get to move first? Well deathrain makes it easy with the ability to drop mines using the front or the back guides. A little practice and deathrain becomes unescapable (but not unkillable unfortunately).
prefer EI to hull on deathrain...AS to boost into range. Drop a bomb with EI. barrel roll due to ability and then green manuver to clear stress from EI
