Toys are exaggerated to be more fun and exciting for children. There is a long history of goofy vehicles and shoulder-worn missile launcher accessories that are not grounded in the fluff.

Look at this goofy thing with an extra side-mounted heavy laser cannon, and the whole ship swivels pointlessly like a B-Wing.

No, it's a common misconception, but in the canon the YT-2400 is, like the other YT-series, a solid chassis ship. The in-game barrel roll is just represented by it's improved engines, thrusters, and lighter total mass than the YT-1300. TIEs barrel roll, and they do it with engines and thrusters not with any pivoting chassis pieces.

Flew a Nova too... a lot more spacious than either of the YTs. Not as sexy as the Decimator, not as dark and roomy as the Y-8. My third favourite POB ship (player on board, rather than cockpit). I never got to fly the gunships...

Yeah the new Falcon toy for TFA has a fold down pistol grip, flip up sight (turret window), and a "cannon/barrel" which fires Nerf darts that pops up. So a kid can.....wait for it.....actually play with a STAR WARS toy. Hasbro thanks to Disney have started making toys again for STAR WARS so kids can play with them and parents can afford them.

Nah man it could be useful! In SWG they actually had the ladder space for turrets, and two places where, optimally, turrets could be mounted. However, these were never used. Ever. Sadly.

But The Sorosuub 3000 Luxury Yacht is QUITE the capable vehicle when kitted out properly. That said, I am reminded of a time that I did use it effectively in combat.

My buddies were taking on an Imperial Gunboat in X-Wings and JSFs, but it was just too powerful! So I hopped in and blocked it with my yacht- it attacked the side that was too busy shooting my fat yacht!

It was so friggin' great.

sniff... so many epic battles in SWG did I take part in, some - frequently I led the rebel side in space, every major contact started in ventrilo with my raising a shot of jager and yelling "death on black wings" to my squadron mates <followed by the return of "death on black wings". Once four of us in my Y-wing, a heavyX and an A-wing tore up over a dozen imperial players and their stardestroyer. It was glorious.

That was the start of the shadowblades career, a Y-wing that became the most feared thing in the black of Intrepid.

Never tell me Y-wings are weak.

The "cannon" is a small price to pay for the accelerometer in the toy, so when you pick it up it makes the jump to lightspeed sound - or with a flick of a switch, it makes the more common sputtering out sound.

As to the miniature game, I'd be okay with a new Falcon mini if it had; A) a new Millenium Falcon Title that's benefit is adding an illicit upgrade; B) a slam drive illicit upgrade (read Smuggler's Run for reference) and C) depending on the movie, a scum Dial and Tasu Leech/kanjikub pilots as well as any new pilots from the film on the resistance side.

If the pack includes an orange and black x-wing, that would be awesome too.
