Omg. Falcon with a cannon.

By darthkray, in X-Wing

Will this be the raider killer?

I think these toys are spoiling way too much

Wave motion gun. Lol

Uh oh. This is real isn't it?

That's... Not what I was hoping to see. At all. I really tried to keep faith in JJ, but this? This is... Not good.

it'll be pretty pointless on a 3-dice PWT

hopefully FFG learned from the yt-2400 and the K-wing and will be dropping the power of a dumb mechanic in favor of literally anything else (cannon, bombs, mines, w.e anything would be more engaging)

This toy, however, is probably the furthest thing from cannon (*drumsnare*) and we won't be seeing jack **** change in X-wing miniatures

we've seen dumb, non-canon toys before several times (like the falcon up that opens up into a diorama of something)

May well just be "creative license" for the toy range. You know, like all those accessories toys tend to have which never actually feature in the original material...

Its a toy, they just wanted to stick nerf darts in the thing. I seriously doubt its modeled after the movie. That said, it is an abomination.

Rey is a scavenger. So maybe. ???? I hope not though.

Some of us knew **** well that a NEW Falcon wuz comin in 2016... already.

Sorry. I didn't know this was already posted earlier. I apologize. :(

Agreed this is likely the case. I definitely jumped the "gun" on this one.

I've got one stashed away for my daughter for xmas... so what? Just a toy with goodies that kids will like.

Guys, I think it's just a toy gun in the shape of the Falcon. Not a representation of a real thing the ship does in the movie.

Toys are exaggerated to be more fun and exciting for children. There is a long history of goofy vehicles and shoulder-worn missile launcher accessories that are not grounded in the fluff.

Look at this goofy thing with an extra side-mounted heavy laser cannon, and the whole ship swivels pointlessly like a B-Wing.

JFC, people. Just because it's on the toy doesn't mean big bad JJ or Mouse made it part of the movie. I will NEVER get that mindset.

But... that's how it barrel rolls.

No, it's a common misconception, but in the canon the YT-2400 is, like the other YT-series, a solid chassis ship. The in-game barrel roll is just represented by it's improved engines, thrusters, and lighter total mass than the YT-1300. TIEs barrel roll, and they do it with engines and thrusters not with any pivoting chassis pieces.

I think Darius was being sarcastic :P

Exactly. Jesus, some of you guys need to calm the **** down.

Maybe when it fired. It shot the falcon backwards into the sand. ??? Maybe.

Dude are you absolutely serious right now?

Well, maybe.... just maybe the refurbished Falcon in TFA has some kind of hidden cannon/turret/missile thingy we haven't seen yet. (The toy MOST LIKELY is just getting all crazy and cool for the kids with this big ol' Nerf gun rocket.) But perhaps if FFG releases a new Falcon with the rectangle sensor dish it might just come with a something more. Only time will tell, since a new TFA Falcon will be on the boat well after the movie opens.

I'm hopeful.

Yea. Here are some schematics and plan on the YT-2400 (the ship class of the Outrider ) that establish no pivoting chassis.
