Holy cow, that is a beautifull mat! Too bad it doesn' tile well with the one I have, I would love to get a second one for epic.
So it sounds like the Death Star II one may be for sale and the World Champion one just has the world champion text? Or is it going to be a different Death Star II design?
MY WALLET!!!!!
Glad I waited to get a mat. That is gorgeous.
Yeah, I love the DSII mat, but dear god, that Bespin is a work of art. More like those, please.
They look cool, but I finally got the chance to play on one weekend just gone and they are so slippy!
I never got one because of the many reviews pointing out they're rounded corners and super slick surface (duly noted just now by InterceptorMad).
Wonder if these new ones fix those "issues"?
I've played on them a bunch and never had any issues
Are these for sale to normal people? Cuz I'm getting that one!!!
They aren't the worst I've played on. I have some that are made out of an outside banner type vinyl that I prefer. The "give" when you press down on the mat is what bothers me the most, not the slipperiness.
But, my vinyl mats don't have Star Wars imagery, so...
Someone found an anti-slip spray product that worked well to fix these mats. I forget what it's called - but it's out there.
That mat would look lovely with a Howlrunner Obsidian Swarm flying across it! ![]()
Now all they need to do is one with an SSD and a few ISDs in the background (From above).
Wow.
I like those mats. Bought the starfield one and I don't regret it.
I'll probably buy the Death Star II mat to use when I play Armada or Epic at the store.
Looks terrible and not worth 40 bucks imo
So pleased that I've been putting off buying mats. I'll take one of each please.

Are there any pics of the Death Star II Mat yet?
I sure hope they fix the problems with Death Star I Mat.

Joe Boss Red Seven, you don't find the proportions "off" at all? Notice how close/focused the clouds are in relation to their distance to outerspace? The complete lack of every layer of Upper Atmosphere, including all the invisible layers that should blur those pretty clouds. This Bespin mat looks "shopped," when it could have looked like satellite imagery. Unfortunate, really. All fluff, zero oversight.
1. Those mats work best when you flip them upside down. The bottom is a great playing surface where nothing will slide around. The top is slippery and doesn't have a good grip on it. So the picture doesn't really matter.
2. Don't you think it will look goofy having asteroids floating around bespin? Or star destroyers completely out of scale with bespin?

Play X-Wing with debris for 2; don't be too clumsy for 1. I never had trouble with ships not sticking well enough to the surface. It is not a good "primary" mat, rather have a flat space scenario for that which is not bound to any location, but I would buy that immediatly if I had the budget.
