When the tie advanced expansion gets a reprint will it include the x1 upgrade card? Or will the only way to get it be by buying the big ship?
Tie advanced x1
Big ship only I am afraid.

Unfortunately, the TIE Advanced expansion will probably never include the X1 upgrade card.
Our best hope is an Aces expansion (probably much further down the line) that includes the Defender and a TIE Advanced. Either that or alt art cards from tournament kits like the C3PO card that's coming with the 2016 Store Championship kits.
FFG has never to my knowledge added a new upgrade card to an existing expansion pack.

They've included new versions of cards that have received errata but outside of that I don't think that they ever changed the contents of an expansion.
I can't see any logical business reason why they would include the title with the standard adv...
The business reason to include it would be to actually sell the advanced. Without the card there is no reason to make the blister at all because no on will buy it.

But would it be worth it to cut into raider sales? Current observations point to no. The covered your stated reason with the sheer number of titles included with the raider...they didn't package just 1 or 2...they packages four. How many people owned four?
They built new sales for the adv into the raider...
Also Vader is only in the standard set so...yeah there's a reason to still make it ![]()
It's a shame because I have no intention of buying the raider yet but I really want the x1 upgrade card

Edit: Most of the (relatively) reasonable offers are gone atm, but they'll show up again eventually- Keep your eye on it if you're serious about it.

Ebay....or feel free the pm me...Arrangements could be made for my extra...
I sprung for a few on EBay. While paying more than a few cents for a 1 5/8" x 2 1/2" piece of cardboard is kind of silly, it was better than the price of the Raider just to get a few of those pieces of cardboard. I was a mildly competitive MTG player at one point so $3-5 a card still barely fazes me.
Another option is to buy the raider and sell what you don't need. I've seen the Juno Eclipse token and pilot card go for $15 by themselves.

welcome to capitalism!
And, eBay is your answer. Go forth and bid.
Ebay is your friend ![]()
No, eBay is really not your friend. It's full of price-gouging wads.
But it's still better than buying a $100 ship I guess.
find a good picture of one and print it out on sticker stock. apply sticker stock to normal title card. sleeve the card.
i own a raider and think it's an amazing toy. the title did play into my choice to purchase it but man i think it's kind of a stinky business practice. i mean darth vader's ship should not require a $100 investment to play with.

Amazon, on the other hand.

I was strongly considering just buying 1-2 titles and ATCs from local players, but there's a chance that I'll run Palpatine in the future.
Now I'm thinking should just take the plunge for the Raider and sell two titles/ATCs on eBay instead. Probably get back 40-50% of my money.

Welcome to the free market baby. It's not supposed to be friendly...progress rarely is.
Has it ever happened that someone turned out to be using 'counterfeit' cards at a tournament?
